Complete Exhaust system.
« on: June 13, 2006, 04:49:41 PM »

Does anybody know of an inexpensive full Exhaust system for a 96 Avenger. 4 cyl. engine. My exhaust is leaking and ive wanted to replace it anyway, but im having a hard time finding one. I'm also very scared it will sound like excrement. So if anyone knows of an inexpensive but decent sounding full exhaust system just let me know.

How much is too much? Inexpensive is kinda general, so can you put a dollar amount in play? It would give everyone a little more to work with.

Forget what i said about inexpensive. I will pay pretty much anything to have a good sounding exhaust system. I just dont want it to sound like a ricer.

I had a 1g Talon with a full buschur racing exhaust... 2.5" and it sounded great. I dont know if it will fit (you'll have to ask some one car smarter than me, lol) but they have 2g eclipse parts.

I have a CatCo exhaust and a Lexus IS300 muffler, it sounds perfect.  At least for me.

Mod List.  Um WAY too many to fit on here.  But the engine can handle about 800HP

I hear that the Turbo system for the Eclipse sounds good, you would have to add I think about 6" in the middle but it has one less resonator and a better sounding muffler, that would be a less expensive option for you.

that or Borla and Soundmaster are my personal favorites, you just have to get the right series.

If you want cheap then go with Pacesetter; it's crap, but cheap.  If you want a good sounding exhaust then make sure that the system has a resonator, or you will sound like a ricer.  The best system for our cars is the Bosal Brospeed it's not the cheapest system, but it's not the most expansive neither.  I have an Apexi exhaust for an Eclipse, you could go that route there is a lot of cat-backs offered for the eclipse, but it's like Nykon said it will have to be lengthen after the cat and before the muffler.
