I'm looking to just swap a used tranny into my 96 v6 vengie.  I found a stratus and cirrus of the same year and am not sure if these would fit in.  Anyone help.  I don't wanna rebuild or anything cuz I need a cheap quick fix.  Just got our first snow flurries last night so I can't bring my big truck home anymore.  You pretty much have to be a rally driver to get out my .5 mile drive in the winter.
Any help in finding some answers fast would be greatly appreciated.

just a small peice of info on your 604 swap,,, take notice that in 96 changes were made
that eliminated the prndle switch, neutral safty switch,,and a 3 bolt mount was added
on top of the differential area... all 96 units have the added 3 bolt mount on top
of diffrential area but not all units elemiated the prndel switch and neutral safety
switch createing a very  few rare units that were inbetween the complete change over
to the 3 bolt mount and a elimination of the seperated switches located on the
front.. I own a transmission shop and got caught on a unit excange , only came
across two of them at this time....Im also the designer of the quick change gears
for the 604 units if your interested.. Roger
