transmissions.........how much to convert?

Hey, I was just wonderin how much it would cost to convert my auto tranny to a 5 or 6 speed?  I like drivin a stick better and i would just love to have one on my 99 sebring.  And also, where could i get it done at?

ugh. To keep this brief, alot. until exile racing technologies (www.exileracing.com) finish the sensor relocator for the swap theres only one guy Ive seen attempt it other than ERT and he converted to a 3.5l 5spd I dont know if he ever got it running I havent heard from him in quite sometime. If you dont have the mechanical know how, I wouldnt attempt it.

ya what g v said there is alot that goes into and to the best of my knowlege there are none so far that worked

The only independant attempt was foiled by a defective junkyard 5 speed  Shocked He did all the work but tried to drive it and the tranny was locked up ... Cry

wow i didn't know that was the only thing holding him back, i was thinking there was more to it
