19" rim (35 or 45 offset) question. Please help
« on: June 07, 2006, 01:27:42 AM »

Hey fellas, first post.

Looking to go with a set of rims I finally like.  MRR GT1 wheels.  I wanna go with 19" wheels.  They have them in 8.5" wide but they have 2 offsets, 35 and 45.  Which would go best for a 99 Avenger?  The tech explained to me that a higher number offset means that the wheel comes in closer to the car while a 35 offset would make it stick  out more.  He called MRR and they said that for my car a 45 offset would work best.  Is this correct about it sticking out or closer in?  My car is completely stock, going to paint it next week, and then throw some wheels on it.

Thanks fellas

anyway, heres apic for if you guys wanna see it.

Wow!  That was quick.  Thanks for the speedy response.  So the 3mm thats off means its gonna be 3mm's inside the wheel well right?  I think these are a winner then.  I'll post pics of before and after if ya'll interested
