as far as using the k and n cone filters on the end of the stock intake, can u go through car washes with them, and also do u need to be careful in the rain?  how about the dry chargers made by k and n.  do those repel water as good as they say?

Since they are up pretty high in  the engine bay you are OK with either ....It's the cold air intakes that will cause water troubles

Truthfully any of the "reuseable " air filters will work fine .... I've seen them as cheap as $10 at shows/meets
