I've searched around the site and read of the '95-99 hardtop Avenger-Sebring -> eclipse/3000 GT brake swaps. Are the backing plates and carriers (front and back) similar on the convertibles? I've got rear drums and plan an upgrade but am unsure if I what to be on the lookout for in the boneyard.

as far as i know nothing on the sebring conv is the same as the hard tops, so i am going to say no the gsx/3kgt break swap will not work.
if your looking to replace the drums to rotors that should be no trouble casue the conv did have some with rotors, you just need to pick
up the whole assembly and swap them out
but unfortunitly i really can't tell you wait you can do for a bigger break or nothing we really don't deal to much with the conv.
