Clicking from the rear
« on: May 05, 2006, 03:48:00 AM »

Front wheel bearings still need replacing but now that it's warm enough to drive with the windows down I noticed a ticking noise coming from the left rear tire it seems. Pulled over and figured it was just a stone in the tread but nothing was there. Don't think its the breaks cuz it makes the same sound with brakes on or off.  But it gets faster when accelerating and slower when decelerating so what could it be?

might be wheel bearing or the abs cog wheel that sits on the back of the bearing. have you jacked it up and spun the tire?

It may be pressure induced, so you might not hear a sound, if that's the case, that may be more trouble than you would think. also, check it out before you get work done they might rape your pocket since its a safety thing if its bearings. wheels being outta control at high speeds= messing with the likes of darktengu the martial artist...not good.
