Finally painting car
« on: April 28, 2006, 06:30:31 PM »

I have had my Avenger since 8/2/97 when I bought it with 8 miles on it. I put a spoiler on and dual exhaust years ago. The paint now looks horrible and sometimes I am embarrased to drive it. I live in AZ and the car is black so imagine the worst! I have been reading this webpage since 97 and I recently started to re-visit because I am finnaly making the venge to what it shoudl be.

I have a full urethane kit that is going on as well as new headlights. I am leaving the spoiler for now and have to re-do the exhaust because it is out of style (two HUGE Apex'i Dunk Exhaust) . I love this can and it's time to make it pretty once more. I have 18" Konig tantrums that are on it now and will be put on the girlfriends car.

It has gone to crap over the years and it's time to put some money in it.

Body Kit $840
New Headlights $260
Macco paint Job (Black Again!) $2015
New Wheels $1300
new Alarm $500
New Stereo $1000

My first car back on the road looking smooth and shaved is going to be great!

I will get Before and after pictures up soon.

Thanks for keeping this forum up after all of these years.

you know..I think that's what I'll do...restore my car every 5 years...getting a new engine every 200,000 miles. sounds like a formula for a lifetime car

Blacking out the tails would really set that off but whether you do it or not, it still looks good, damn good  Grin

You should definately have them paint the middle trunk section that's still black. I love that color. That's copper right?

Prowler Orange is the name but yeah it's copper.

It I paint the middle trunk section then I loose the signature Avenger tail. No way! Maybe paint it black to bring it back to life!

Thanks for noticing! I don't like any of the other side skirts that are on the TC2 or viper kits or whatever they are called. I thought that was what i would get and debated even putting them on.

However these are from PURE and I bought them from andy's autoports. they gave me a good deal for th whole kit. every item is urethane! I like the fact that everything looks nearly stock except for the wing.
