This weekend I disarmed my alarm and noticed that the door locks didn't unlock. At first I thought that the alarm might be the culprit, but the lock switch didn't work either. If you press lock nothing happens at all, if you press unlock you can hear a relay clicking but nothing happens on the door locks. I checked all the fuses and they were all good, any suggestions? Friday afternoon they were working fine and sat morning they didn't work, it is really strange.
nevermind I got them working again. This is what it was. My passenger door handle is broke and while waiting for the new one the door lock cylinder has been hanging in the door. There is a yellow plastic clip on the back of the lock cylinder that came off, the one with the three wires coming out of it for the security system. Once I put the yellow clip back on the cylinder the door locks started working again. Really small detail to cause such a big problem, but you know how it goes.
