Problem solved. I replaced the ECM and all of my issues went away. My car runs like new again.

So is the PCM and the ECM the same thing, everyone was saying PCM and you replaced the ECM, what is the difference?


hm...yeah, i think its the same...but how did you replace the ECM?? where did you get the ECM from? Don't you need to enter your VIN number to the new ECM/PCM???

im planning to do the same, im getting CEL 32 though...i replaced everything....stupid car...

No, you don't have to program anything into the new one. The new ecm's model number must match your old ecm's model number or it won't work. It's just plug and play as long as the model numbers are matched.

As far as where to find them. You can get them new from the dealership for around $700. Remanufactured on eBay for around $300. Or used at a junkyard or eBay for under $100.
