1  Market Place / For Sale / Re: Selling the Bring...parting out goodies.... on: February 26, 2008, 06:07:14 AM
is your pillar brand new i hope for that price? if it is ill take it if daes doesn't..

no, it is not brand new, but it is in flawless condition. I think $45 SHIPPED is a good deal considering i paid $70. it was installed in my car less than a year.  I have been very busy with work and my dig camera SUX (batteries die after only four pix) but i promise pix of everything are coming soon.

pretty much everything i posted is "like new" and i brought the price down alot from what i paid for the stuff.  But i really havent looked at the market on this stuff in a while, so if my prices are bad, please tell me, and provide some evidence (past links or ebay or whatever) that im wrong; i will negotiate.

thats right, im NOT parting out the car, just the aftermarket stuff.

and YES, it is an official pillar pod made for the avenger/sebring.  my bring is a '99 model and it fits perfect.  it requires 2 screws that i no longer have, but they looked like standard wood screws anyways...nothing special.  I will try and take a pic of it tomorrow.
3  Market Place / For Sale / Selling the Bring...parting out goodies.... on: February 18, 2008, 08:26:07 PM
well, its time to sell my sebring, so i've pulled off all the goodies that are not going with it.  I thought i would post them here before going to ebay.

Anodized blue unorthodox underdrive pulley (v6): $100 shipped within USA

Black Piller 3 gauge pod for 2 1/16" gauges: $45 shipped within USA

Venom VCN-1000 Nitrous kit (see details below): $375 shipped within USA

The Nitrous kit was only partially installed in my car.  I never got around to attaching the wires that go to the injectors.  Also, the kit was shipped to me missing the 1' hose that goes from the solenoid to the nozzle and I never got another one for it.  Tank is brand new, never been filled.  as far as i know, everything else is present.

if you have any questions, email me at MaliceIntent@gmail.com

i will take paypal only for any transactions.

does that only apply to automatics?

Yes, Torque Converters are only in vehicles with automatics...takes the place of the clutch in a way

I remember this mod from before ASOG crashed....as I recall Robert found a misprint in the factory schematic...but I dont remember the details; just keep that in mind if thats what you are using.
6  Tech Forums / Transmission Tech / Re: Solutions for speedo calibration with Autostick conversion on: May 29, 2007, 04:02:49 PM
OK, i know its been a while, but im still dealing with this problem, only know I think I have solved it.

1. I had my girlfriend trail me, and we came up with the following info:
when traveling 25mph, speedo reads 45mph
when traveling 55mph, speedo reads 100mph

2. dealership told me pinion factor is correct for my tire size.

3. plugged old TCM back in and speedo works fine.  but I want autostick, so thats not going to cut it lol.

4. using the above speed tests, determined that my speedo is off by a factor of about 1.8  (25mph*1.8= ~45mph  and 55mph*1.8 =~100)  So, i ran a couple formulas and found If I tell the dealership to set my tire size as though I have a 9.35inch rim, the problem should be corrected.

my question is, do you think the tcm will take that small of a rim size?

Oops...I wen back and checked the reciept for my new TCM, and it is a 2000 stratus, sorry 'bout that.  just checked the part numbers on the speed sensors, and they are the same.  guess it's time to see the dealer!  even if I cant get it corrected, eff them; at least autostick works good!

thanx for your help!

oooooooooo....I failed to mention I have a '99 Sebring
9  Tech Forums / Transmission Tech / Re: Solutions for speedo calibration with Autostick conversion on: March 01, 2007, 12:52:45 AM
Tire size is not the problem here.  and i am talking about MPH.  And when I say my speedo is off, i mean WAY off.  when the speed governor kicks in at ~135MPH, in reality im only doing about 80MPH. First gear redlined reads about 60MPH.

You also did the autostick conversion right?  did you have the dealer recal yours?
10  Tech Forums / Transmission Tech / Solutions for speedo calibration with Autostick conversion on: February 28, 2007, 08:05:24 PM
I put an 01 stratus autostick TCM in my Sebring a while back, and I've had time to ponder and play with the speedo calibration problem.  I've noticed that the speed governor still engages when the speedo reads ~135.  This tells me that the ECU really believes that the car is traveling at that speed.  Since the speedo was accurate before I changed the TCM, I can assume That means the speed calculation is being done on the TCM and not the ECU.  what now? speed sensor.

I checked around, and the speed sensors between my sebring and the 01 stratus are different.  Im wondering if the stratus sensor will fit in my car, and if not, if the signal can be modified for calibration.

Alain95, Im hoping you will have some input for me.

11  General Category / General Discussion / It's kinda sad... on: September 17, 2006, 06:20:54 AM
I've owned my sebring for about 4 years, and I still love it to death.  Sad thing is seeing all those a/s salvage parts on ebay and everywere else...those parts only come from wrecked vehicles.  that means less and less a/s on the road.

I dunno.  just kinda sad to me.
12  General Category / General Discussion / Re: V8 Avenger Project on: August 21, 2006, 07:52:03 PM
AWSOME project!  like everyone else I am glad to see someone actaully jump in and do this!  you are doing an exellent job on every aspect of this project from your beautiful welds to the sheer genious use of the different parts from different vehicles.  MAD PROPS!!!  cant wait to see it drive.
13  Tech Forums / 6 Cylinder Tech / Re: intake won't fit?? on: August 20, 2006, 11:42:27 PM
I wouldn't do that if I were you!  our batteries are tooooooo close to the hood.  with out the tie-down, hitting a small bump can BURN YOUR CAR TO THE GROUND!  I would look for another answer.
14  Tech Forums / 6 Cylinder Tech / Re: Predator Downpipe on: August 20, 2006, 11:38:21 PM
yes, post is old, but there is one Major thing that gets overlooked on the Downpipe info.  inless ERT has put out a new model of downpipe, it WILL NOT FIT on california spec vehicles.  The exhaust systems are different.  I had to send mine back.
15  Tech Forums / Transmission Tech / Im back! and i just bought a new TCM on: August 20, 2006, 11:06:31 PM
