When I first started dating my wife, she drove a Pacer, and I still married her. After being in the car for awhile, your vision got screwwed up. I don't know if was the windows or if was the smokin .......ahh youth, time well wasted.
Ok, new senerio. Losing pressure from your new fuel filter? Did you get this work done at a Chrysler/Dodge dealer? Do you know if it was a Mopar filter?
I'm thinking it's the remote start. I "tried" to put one in my truck and after 4 hours of trying different wiring, I took it to my dealership, even they had trouble. When I hooked it up, the truck would crank just fine but would never think about firing. Just my thoughts randomly appearing in text form.
go with a shorty intake and water should not be much of an issue. I have problems with the carwash and puddles, long intake here. I now just drive it when the weathers nice, it's getting spoiled.
sounds like maybe you have some rust ,dirt,or something in your tank.when you put gas in it stirs it up off the bottom.
I thought the same thing. You could take your car out on an empty road and at slow speed jerk your car from side to side a couple of times to stir up the gas in the tank and see if you can recreate the symptom. Just throwing out ideas, and this one doesn't cost a thing. Did this start after you had your fuel filter replaced? That caught my eye.
pop your gas cap off and push the splash flap down, put your cap back on (making sure it clicks) then start your car up. If it is running like it would if you just put gas in, then you have a pressure lose somewhere, and I would start with a new gas cap. If that's not the problem we can do the "process of elimination" method.
I have got to get a by-pass valve, I have troubles with the carwash sometimes, with the engine off. Glad to hear that your alright, heads up on shuttin her down.
I know it's still early in the year, but maybe we can start kicking around ideas of when and where. Most members seem to be located in WI and IL, Joliet raceway might be a good spot if we cooridnate it with some form of racing. Venue is very big though, might be hard to get everyone together. I preffer to stay out of major metro areas, but someplace big enough to provide something to do. We could also do a cookout in a nice park. Most would be traveling some distance, so we should try to line it up for a Saturday and have Sunday to get home, if needed. Let's get some ideas rollin here.
It has begun. Anyone who considers themselves a car guru, needs to catch some of this on Speed channel. I recommend friday & saturday, they will be bring out the good stuff then, but it's all good stuff. Embrace your heritage, invest in precious metals (for a mere $100,000, lol). It's THE car shows of car shows.
