ya, does suck having to take the wheels off but i'm replacing rotors with silver drilled/slotted ones, painting the calipers, and puting some motegi ff7 rims on at the same time.  So it works out Smiley  I'm going to go buy a drill or dremel today one or the other.  In a few weeks i'm going to be doing the struts/springs to, should be fun.

i'm having the same problem.  keep an eye on it for a week or so and let me know what happens.  if it dont happen again cps here i come!.  I'm still going to check the relay as venge suggested.  Did your check engine light come on?  Mine doesnt, but i havnt had a puter hooked to it cause it doesnt light up.  Also sometimes hwen you crank it over does it crank realy strong but just doesnt start?  Then maybe a 2-5 mins it'll crank over perfecT?
25  Tech Forums / Suspension and Brakes / Re: WHICH SET OF SPRINGS SHOULD I DROP IT WITH? on: July 23, 2006, 06:39:18 PM
that drop looks really good.  how long did it take the springs to set in at 1.75?  I was thinking of going with the eibachs but that 1.75 really looks good and its prety damn low.  any lower and i'd bust it up going in and out of the driveway.

I'll be painting my calipers next weekend.  I invested in a black G2 caliper kit.  It came with some cleaner for the calipers but mine are lookin prety rusty.  I'm not to positive that just the cleaner is going to do the trick.  I was thinking maybe sandpaper?  If so i really wasnt sure what grit to use to be safe.  Anyone know? or got any better ideas than sandpaper?

Thanks

29  Tech Forums / 6 Cylinder Tech / 2 problems on: July 22, 2006, 06:47:00 PM
I'm seeming to have 2 problems, any suggestions would be appreciated Smiley
1.  Occasionaly brake lights will get stuck on when i get out the car and while i'm driving.  People occassionaly have me roll down my window to t ell me.  I have no idea w hy this is happening.  One time it did it i slamed the passenger door and they went off, opened the door slammed it again and it turned back on, rinse and repeat.  very wierd.  but it doesnt always work like that.

2.  secondly sometimes i'll be driving and randomly the car motor will die (drop down to 0 rpm and sit there) if i'm not mistaken to i think i lose power steering, but the music/lights will stay on.  i'll give the car gas over and over, most the time the motor will kick back in and resume runing.  Car runs and idles great besides that.  I've replaced the spark plugs with iridium IX's, and the plug wires with ngk plug wires.  I ended up replacing the fuel pump and strainer, fuel filter to to no avail.  Any suggestions?  It's not like it does it alot.  last time it happened was over a month ago.  But sometimes it'll do it for a few days and then not for a few months.  its sporatic.
When it does completly die, the car turns over very strong but just wont fire to start.  It just keeps crankin really strong.  2-10 minutes later, bam it starts right up.  Anyone got any ideas?
