16  Tech Forums / 4 Cylinder Tech / Re: camshaft position sensor on: August 16, 2006, 05:04:09 PM
the one they carried at autozone was a 4 bolt one. it's for a 2.0 sohc neon but for some reason they have it in the computer for a dohc sebring as well. The guy found the right one, its for a dohc 2.4 neon i believe. Napa did have it in stock, i guess the guy on the phone didn't know what was going on. But its going to be around 50 bucks with the connector too. They all have oval pins where as the stock connector only accepts small round ones.
So anyways i'm going to go find a newer neon or something that uses the same one and with the same connector at a salvage yard.
17  Tech Forums / 4 Cylinder Tech / camshaft position sensor on: August 13, 2006, 11:38:25 PM
well i got error code 54 no camshaft position signal at pcm.
I checked all the wiring and stuff its all good.
So i went to change it, napa doesn't carry it. Autozone carrys one but you have use a different connector which they didn't seem to know how to get for me. Plus the sensor they have in their computers for that car has the wrong bolt pattern.
Anybody have any suggestions.

well the 19's look sweet but i'd prefer to have the extra sidewall of the 18's.

So are you saying the cars don't look to good with stock height and 18's? I'm not going to be able to lower it right away after buying the rims.

My front end scrapes the ground too often as it is. I don't know if i want to lower it. You should let me see those pics of the 18's and stock height.

alright, thanks for the info.

Now i'd like to see some pics of some 17's and 18's to compare. Any directions to a site or would anyone like to make a picture post? Also maybe some more specifics on the offset if at all possible

Well, this is my first post on this site but i am very familiar with the internet forum deal. But enough with the small talk.
I have a 95 sebring lx 420a 5 speed.
I'm looking at wheels and tires. I'm thinking 18x7.5 or 17x7(the rims i'm looking at the 17's are about 60$ cheaper). i read +42mm is the correct offset on another post. Does that vary by wheel width? I would imagine it would..
So i guess what tires size will fit. To put out a ball park number of what i would like would be 215-235/40-50/18 I'd prefer a taller tire for one potholes, and two a little gear ratio help(every little bit counts right?). I don't think fifth gear is high enough(numerically low). I'm not sure what the effect of a taller tire on the speedo would be and would have no clue on how to correct it.
