jee. I run stock manifolds(cus i am poor) 2 1/4 through a cherry bomb glass pack and a magnaflow muffler. And btw what are the gains with the aftermarket headers on our cars. The stock ones seem pretty nice and free flowing.
He said it jerked though. If the motor just died and it is not a manual I am assuming because this is under v6 tech then there should be no jerking. I could be wrong but if the motor isnt turning the tourqe converter at enough rpms then it will have no affect on the transmission. Since the motor died then there is no rpms to lock up the TC so there shouldnt be any jerking. right?
Take off the valve covers and check the plug tubes. The gasket kits are like 60 bux. That is more then likely the problem. I couldnt think or it being much of anything else. The kit comes with the tubes, and valve cover gaskets. I would do both banks why your at it. Preventative maintinence FTW!!!
I have a 96 sebring with a CAI and an optima red top. I had trouble fitting the intake in but what I did was take the battery out. Put the intake on. Set the battery in and made my own bracket. All I did was take a piece of 1/4" thick x 3/4" wide x 1 1/2' long strap Iron and bent it to fit. Then I drilled a hole for it to fit on the bolt and it works perfect.
2.5l 144000 miles. runs good. needs new motor mount and thats the only thing that is wrong. Otherwise the car runs perfect. Needs paint and a couple of dings and one crese. Has a flip up moon roof and pwr mirrors/windows/locks. CAI exhaust and american racing rims. needs new rubber though. not too bad but def. need replacing before winter. Am located in southern MN. $1500
damn. I pretty much knew that would be that answer though. So do you know of any roots type that might be close. Close enough to fab up an adapter plate of some sort.
