2  General Category / General Discussion / Re: I HATE MY 6 on: November 04, 2007, 12:47:08 AM
When my 6 was going to crap I gave up and have a newer car without any problems going on 1 year now.  Sometimes it's cheaper to buy something different than continually sticking money into what you have.

Then you'll love the Chrysler built slushbox.  But glad to hear you got what you wanted.  The Avenger is a great car.
4  General Category / General Discussion / Re: V6 VS I4 on: October 17, 2007, 06:50:49 PM
If I had an empty engine bay it would all depend on money and what I want for the car.  If you are planning on keeping your car fairly stock (intake, headers, exhaust, etc.) I'd go V-6 in a heartbeat everytime.

If you want to race or have a fast car and have money for a full build like I hope to years down the road, I'd go with the 4.

Find your goals for the car, research and price out what you want to do, then go from their.  For a daily driver I'm very partial to my V6.

It seems like not that long ago when we were posting about some bad sh!t going down in Wi.  I think it was the teens who ran shrink wrap across a street.  Too lazy to search for whatever it was.

Never even thought about food.  Yes, I eat whatever I want and haven't gained weight since middle school.  But focusing on carbs and protine sounds like a good idea.  Maybe I'll have to talk to a personal trainer at the gym I go to.

I'm sure if I get a specialized plan, I can stick to it.  Thanks for the advice!

Maybe you guys can help me out.  I'm really small for my age (NO JOKES!)  I'm 23 and weigh 112 at 5' 5".

So I decided to start working out to at least get some muscle.  During the summer I was very good about going everyother day, but now because my hours got changed at work I'm having a really hard time getting there as often.  Is going 3 times a week even doing anything or should I really just push myself to go to the gym after work?
9  General Category / Questions and problems / Re: 04 Chrysler Sebring frame same as dodge stratus/eclipse? on: October 07, 2007, 09:33:10 PM
The so-called 2.5G's (03-05) are structually the same as the 2000-2005 Eclipse or the 2001-2002 Strat/Bring coupe.  Lowerings springs and shocks can be searched for under Eclipse, tho some manufacturers like Ebach have listings for Stratus coupes.  Just be sure to order parts from the right Eclipse.  If your Sebring has the V-6, order parts for the Eclipse V-6. (Obvious, but worth mentioing just in case).

As far as exhaust, any kit ordered for an Eclipse will work but needs something like 6"-12" added on for length.  Again, there are a few companies that have Stratus Coupe specified.  I think it's just Borla and Dynomax but hear great things about both companies.

Edit:  If you haven't already, check us out at 2gstratus.org and on club3g.com  Lots of info there on what you're asking.
10  General Category / General Discussion / Re: New Pictures. Take a look :) on: September 30, 2007, 09:36:42 PM
Hey, if your not lazy and don't mind doing it every once in awhile, get you some kick ass rims for non-winter driving and keep the stockers for winter time. all you need is 3 square feet of spare room [not even that really] and 5 feet of height. Now i'm being generous on the dimensions but as with finances, you should always believe that your bills are larger than they are, that way you don't come up short on the room you need.

PITA for shure but definatly worth it.  Nice Sebring.

ok what is the HP rating on the new Vauxhall Vectra?

Interesting that you'd use the Vauxhall nameplate and not Opel (or in this case, even Saturn!).  After consulting my collection of Motor Trend and Car & Driver mags which I call "the library" I came away with 252-hp for the 3.6L V-6.

Sorry to hear about the motor, dark.

Yeah, I might come back here for awhile although I really don't have much info to share.  Never was a hands on kinda car guy, however, ask me how much horse a certian make/model car puts down and I will probably know.

As for my car, I noticed its first door ding yesterday.  That really ticked me off, but it happens.  My first mod to the 'Bring is gonna be tires in the spring cuz the ones I have now just suck.  Also decided that in 3 more years when she's all paid off I'm gonna get I/H/E and a decent tune done which should put about 30 more horse to the wheels.  Can't wait till then.

Just thought I'd stop by and see what's been going on around here since I left.  Saw an Avenger with a full blitz body kit and primer grey paint job and got a little sentamental so I need my ASOG fix.  Grin  So what's the good word, any good project cars around, are Nykon and DT still post whores?
14  General Category / General Discussion / Re: Finally getting a "Large" upgrade... on: September 22, 2007, 02:13:48 AM
Keep the resanators in.  Removing one has some people complaining of rasp, both removed sound like poop.  Besides, the resinators don't hurt performance any so why not just leave them in place?  Second, the choice of muffler is more a personal thing.  I had a 50 Series DeltaFlow on my Avenger.  At the time it was supposedly their quietest but was loud as hell on the car.  My friend had a regular 40 Series on his 4 cyl. Probe and didn't seem any louder than mine with a 6 so just look at the flowmaster site and decide which has the amount of volume and interior resonance you think you could live with.

I like the Homer Simpson one.

"Hello are you interested in Blah blah blah"

Homer - (enthusiastically) "Why yes I'm very interested!!"  Then hang up.

I prefer Seinfled.

"Would you be interested in ______________"

Jerry:  This really isn't a good time.  How bout you give me your number and I'll call you later?

"We, really can't do that sir"

Jerry:  Oh, you don't want some stranger calling you?  Now you know how I feel *click*

I had a friend who, when asked to put a parent on the line, would cry and make up stories about how they died yesterday in a plane/car crash, fire, etc.  Morbid, but gets the job done.
