Well, I had bought a performance filter before, it improved a bit..but not that much...i switched it for a whole new intake system...I REALLY felt a difference there, it was said to give about 10-15hp, I also got this chip...installed it...sucked...but the installation instructions werent concise, so I redid it and felt even more power, about the same improvement as i did with the intake, so im guessin they put about the same amout on...I may have a lil more or a lil less than 185 tho, But thats a safe guess, I pretty confident that it's at least 185. Before any of these, I raced one of my friends who has the new eclipse (4 cylinder 162hp i believe)..it was close, and i was ahead by a lil bit. But i just wanted to know what is available for a 2.5L V6. It doesnt seem like there are that many mods for it but exterior...so im doin that right now.
you want that air intake to actually do something? get a custom header made for like $400 get the head ported and polished as well as the throttle body, intake mani, and plenum bored and port matched....then u can say like 185.....luckily for the 420a users companys like OBX sell performance packages that actually do what they say they will....like 500-600 dollars but still $600 for 190-210hp give or take how ur car was taken care of....that's not bad for an all motor avenger pushin it
19  Tech Forums / Body Mods / Re: Want your headlights looking like new? on: June 04, 2006, 12:38:49 AM
I found out some time ago how to get rid of the fog in my headlights..its a pretty quick, easy, and when you know it, you'll wonder "hey, why didnt I think of that?"....I'm assuming not many ppl know how to do this..but it can be done for less than fifteen bucks...for fifteen bucks you could do.....at least five pairs. ...i did mine and they were pretty damn good. practically new. But I'll stop blabbing. I wanna see if anyone is interested, i'm willing to share info.
ya know all i do is get some mothers chrome mag polish and polish them it's good for a few months, did it on the avenger and my parents PT cruiser and a friends neon worked nicely
