mix and match homey, theres tons of kits for our cars and that way you have less of a chance to get the same exact kit someone else has. www.andysautosport.com has the largest selection of kits for our cars that ive seen in one place. id start there for ideas and to see where you wanna go
I always torque to 90 ft#'s as recomended by my wheel maker
65/70 was what was in my manual and what i learned when i was in college, NOT 45/50. that was my mistake ppl, sorry! diff wheels require diff torques, stock wheels should be around 70lbs. aftermarket wheels require more (mostly just to cover their own a$$) but i guess i shoulda asked stock or aftermarket before i put in my 2 cents, sorry
Hmmm, after a little bit of research, it turns out the blue power antenna wire was for the amp power, not that antenna after all. I feel kinda retarded for not thinking of that.
its been that way for as long as ive been installing systems. i dont know what theyre talkin about but its always blue, in my car its blue, has been since the day i bought it. blue=remote
i woulda said somethin sooner but i figured id get flamed and smited cause nobody else knows what theyre talkin bout just like what has happened to me in other topics. its all good tho, im glad you finally have this figured out
lugs should always be torqued on to ensure even distribution of pressure. i know mine needs to be torqued to 45-50lbs, i would imagine yours wouldnt be much different
now ive been in the car scene for a long time, i know i dont know everything but i know a lot. sorry i cant help you jbi, but what the hell is "limp mode"
you dont NEED the bumper, minor modifications is all you will need to use it. french a section for the plate to fit in the bumper, this way you can place it antwhere you want, or angle it, etc. for the more custom look. it comes down to doin it the cheaper custom way or just spendin the money for a new bumper. dont really matter tho cause its not my car so good luck either way
i have a buddy of mine that has a 93 tt 3kgt with lots of work done to it and he runs under 10 in the 1/4 mile. now he does have $30,000 into it give or take but when he does run it hard, he shifts at 9500rpm. so it is possible but not without LOTS of work or a blown motor.
p.s. he used to blow pistons left and right but i think he has that taken care of, not sure yet
sorry dark but, GOOO COLTS!!!! i wanted to see manning win some sort of a championship during his career, we all know he couldnt do it in high school or college
you would actually make a filler plate that the monte lights fit in that is the shape of our original tails. its a good idea and i was going to get REAL skyline tails and put them in my car, that was till i found out how much they were then it just wasnt a good idea anymore
was stock a 50 or 55 series tire? i think it was a 55, thats the one you should go with bet either way the speedo will only be off by a couple mph if at all. nothing to get bent out of shape about
