1  Tech Forums / Audio / Visual / Need wiring diagram for 98 sebring LXi infinity system on: April 29, 2006, 04:17:37 AM
I want to replace the amp with a 4 or 6 channel unit and would like to use stock wires as much as possible. Not going for competition here, just better than stock. Also, are the inputs from the factory cd/cassette stereo line level or speaker level? i currently have Fosgate 6.5's in the front and Sony 6x9 explods in the rear.
2  General Category / Questions and problems / Re: Replacement Lock Cylinders? on: April 29, 2006, 03:56:56 AM
The lock cylinders in my doors & trunk seized up on me so I cant use the keys to open them.  Its a good thing I have keyless entry on my alarm so I can get in.  My question is can I get replacement lock cylinders already coded to my original keys?  I think the key pattern is listed with the VIN number.   I dont want to get all new ones & have 2 or 3 keys just to get in the car plus my ignition is still good & dont want to replace that.

I dont know how mechanically inclined you are but you might be able to move the little pieces that code the lock to your new one in exactly the same slots. Or take to an independant little locksmith shop and have them do it before you install them. Shouldnt be that much. Key pattern is tied to VIN because i needed a new master key today and dealer pulled by VIN (take your title or registration with you).

The whole project took about 3.5 hours. Smiley  What takes the longest is actually compressing and releasing the springs. That took a while, using only a 15/16 wrench.

Use a spring compressor on each side of the spring then go back and forth with a socket (tiring) or impact wrench a few turns each time. Goes real damn fast with impact.
