I wouldn't. I seriously doubt you have the proper tools to safely put it on without damaging the tire.

Portable Tire Mounter

There's only so much you can do without a shop [because one you collect so many tools, you ARE a shop]

wtf did i just watch? lol
besides the wierd ass samurai music, and the fking playstation 1 flashbacks of me being stuck on some annoying ass levels on Tenchu, the video was okay lol
it looks like a usefull tool.
how much that thing cost?

for the headlights I used to put them in for 4 minutes at 250 and it worked... I didnt want to leave them in too long because of my angel eyes..

yeah, i also noticed that when i did my frist trial with the angel eyes in my headlights.
the plastic thing that was protecting the ring got melted a bit...

But thanks guys, now i know. : )
Im gonna have fun with this...
12  General Category / General Discussion / Can I change my tires by myself? on: August 02, 2008, 05:00:22 AM
Just wondering, both of my rear tires are losing air every number of days.
I already hand picked a nice set of tires on a local junk yard in jersey months ago. They are really in good condition, but i havent put them yet.
I live in house that has a nice driveway with pleny of space, and i have the jack stands and everything.
When I got my tires change the last time, i didnt do balancing or any thing of that matter, I just asked them to change the rims and tires, and thats all.
I figured, instead of going and giving away 20 dollars, and driving there{gas expenses}, maybe i can try and take the rims off my tires and put them in those "new" tires that i got from the junk yard?
tommorow is saturday, it would a nice day to do so.
Just wondering if its possible?

if it were me, i'd find a junkyard donor with good lights to cook, i'd hate to over-cook my only set  Lips sealed

ohh no, this one is a cracked tailight that i took off when i replaced it with a good one from a junkyard.
id still hate to cook it if i know it can be opened without cooking.

Been scracthing my head for a while now about doing l.e.d tailights, and decided to start the proccess.
I started unscrewing the tailight today, and i believe there were 8 or maybe more screws, after unscrewing all of them, i thought its going to be loose and I would have been able to take it apart, but i couldnt.
It only leads me to think that I have to put it in the oven like when you do the headlights?
