Hi. I want to instal a push button to start my car. I found a switch that can take a maximum of 20 amps. I will be re-wiring the start position on the steering column to this switch. Should 20 amps be enough? I know I could test it with a multimeter, but I was just wondering if someone knew it off the top of their head.
I changed the fuel filter. I was hoping it would solve my problem, but no. When I changed it, I noticed that a metal hose on the firewall next to the fuel filter. It goes towards the left. The last owner blocked it off, so I think that may be the return line, because I think he swapped the 95 engine for a 96. If my fuel system is a 95 and the engine a 96, could I still need a return line? If so I guess I could try to find a 95 fuel rail... Also, is there a pressure regulator on the 96, if so where is it, if not, where is it on the 95? I guess I could check that. I did a test where I started the car when it is cold, and I shut it off right away. I pressed on the release valve, and the fuel spurted out maybe only an inch(what I think is probably normal) I tried the same thing when the engine was hot and didnt want to start, and it came shooting out several feet, so it is definitly a pressure problem. If I take the injectors off, is there anyway to tell if they are clogged? My very last resort will be to hook a switch on the fuel pump and switch the pump off and let the engine die every time I want to shut it off to make sure there is not too much pressure...
Lol. Man, if I were you, I would just leave. You're embarassing yourself. Why reply if you don't care what the others have to say, or if you dont have something intelligent to say thats worth the time to read. If you think swapping an engine and doing a real unique conversion is ricy, you might as well say every other "modified' car out there is rice. Pfff. You should look at the man in the mirror before blasting other people, I quote you
i want an intake and exhaust for simply just the sound not power
Thats exactly what rice is, mods that do not, or barely affect power, simply the esthetic side. Sure it sounds good, but its not any faster, so its rice. Wanting to have a "racey(not ricey)" sounding car without the power to back it up, is ricey. I personally have no problem with it as long as the car is nicely built.
im not gonna try racing cars (except for friends now and then) at redlights and stuff like that
Wasnt that the reason you started hating the avengers, not beeing able to race? Stop contradicting yourself. The venge will have no problem with the occasional "racing", which I by the way find completely useless, be mature and go to the drag strip and then you can brag about your low times(prob. not with the v6 mustang from what Ive heard so far).
Alain, so Im guessing you live in Mtl? I live in Sherbrooke an hour and a half away, if you hear of any meets nearby please tell me Do you work for a production office or something of the sort?
Nope, nothing on the other side of the fuel rail.... Guess its not the 95 then... but the last owner swapped the engine for a newer one, maybe he changed for a later model(wheres the serial number so I could check?)
For the fuel return line, I do have a 95. I will check out the filter, its near the washer fluid right? Nykon, your idea about the pressure pushing the sediment into the filter is very possible. And about the return line, where is found?
