I did heat it up and got it on, but its still a little a bit too far out. nothing was done to the crank. I dont remember, but is there a washer on the pulley? the bolt is grinding into the pulley. so I am going to put two washers with grease between them. I have had the pully off before, no isssues...
I just had the block bored, and the crank checked, put everyting back together exxcept the crank pulley. the bastard just wont go on. I hammered the pulley down pretty far, then tried to pull it down with the crank bolt. it went halfway, then the bolt started to strip. I pulled the pully off again, cleaned up the bolt threads, and ran the bolt all the way in. then I pounded the pulley farther, but the bolt wont pull it down. closest it got was 3/4. how can it be this hard, and how much can I pound on it? I am going to heat up the pulley and cool down the crank with ice next, but I wanted to know if anyone else had this problem...
I have one cylinder at 80 psi. Not sure why. Looking for a block to rebuild first and drop in. Block does not need to be perfect, just rebuildable. Really just want to be able to pull the motor and drop another in right away. In Orlando, will drive to get it...
