235/45-17's are a common "plus zero" size that will fit easy as opposed to 215/50-17's.

Autozone loans them out for a refundable deposit, but after you see how easy it is you will end up buying your own set.

bad venge, thats some great info you have compiled there. I appreciate the time you have taken to post it up for me. I am actually looking to keep the car at stock height(not lower) using oem springs from any non aftermarket manufacturer. I am guessing not too much transposes however.  I guess max I would be willing to drop an inch(at the most). But most important is spring rate. I need to keep the car stock appearing and sitting higher than I would like for the project I am working on. I can't use adjustable shocks(that would be nice!) or coilovers.  I would like stiff springs on one side and softer on the other, without having to resort to heating them up or riding on worn springs/struts on one side. I like the info you gave me for the eclipses softer spring, that has given me some ideas to move forward with.  I can tell you have a great grasp on these cars, and again I really appreciate the advice you've given thus far. I hope as I work on this car and come back with more dumb questions, the rest of the forum is as knowledgable and hospitable as you've been.

thanks again for a fast reply...  a follow up.  Are the whole strut assemblies/perches then non-interchangable as well? I assume they will not work.....Are there any options for a stiffer OEM setup from the eagle/mitsubishi line to fit an avenger? If so... what rates are we talking? If not, and I am stuck with the dodge oems, I will make do.  I come from and know Subarus(dont laugh) very well. I am used to extreme interchange flexibility and am really unfamiliar with these cars as of today. I will have this thing in pieces once the snow melts up here to learn then inside and out. I hope to learn a bunch from this board, thanks for having patience with me Smiley

Another quick Q for you knowledgeable guys. I searched for it, but came up empty. I have a 97es v6.  I am minor upgrading/replacing the stuts and springs on my car. I am installing simple new KYBs with new stock springs. My question is... what is the spring rate difference for the oem convertable sebring springs vs. oem avenger springs? Any diff in height or stiffness? I want to keep the car at somewhat stock height. Thank you for you answers. This is a great forum!

thats suck-o!  I have alot to learn I guess. So even though the stock fpr is on the pump in the tank, any aftermarket has to go under the hood and after the fuel rail??? Maybe I will have to rethink this.

BadVenge, thank you very much for your quick reply. I will purchase the Walbro255lph external pump on your recommendation.  I like the idea of keeping the fpr inline after the pump in the trunk vs under the hood. I am going to firewall the trunk in. Is there a recommended aftermarket regulator that any users on here like(or maybe ones to stay away from). AEM? I am not worried "too much" about cost with any of this, versus dependability and ease of use.  Does 47-50psi sound about right??? Thanks again, the advice I have gotten out of this forum has been great.

Hello, I am a new guy that has been reading and learning a lot off of many of you from the two forums over the last couple months since I picked up my '97 es. I am planning on making it a fun fix up project. This car will never be on the "the road" again in its life.

Has anyone ever installed a fuel cell in the trunk of an avenger before? I am going to attempt it, but I have have never done so before and am looking for some advice. I have a 5 gallon summitracing fuel cell with a bladder and baffled for slosh and stuff.   My questions start there??  I understand I will need an external pump? Will this one work??---->
http://www.msdfuelinjection.com/efi_fuelpump.html   What is the stock fuel pressure for a 2.5/3.0??? I am guessing that the stock pressure regulator is on the pump(or in the tank at least) so I will need to purchase an aftermarket fp regulator as well to place after the external pump? Is it that simple? What am I missing? I am assuming there are just  send and return fuel lines I will have to deal with?? I am just doing this for safety/weight reduction, I won't be doing alot of major hp increasing so I won't need a special fuel system install.  Just something simple.

Thank you again for your help. It is all appreciated.
