Hey Robert, you and me are in the same boat bud .. I'm missing 5.5K and a car, which I probably had 20k + in .. Any luck on the legal/police persuit of it?
Has anyone had any contact with Steve or Mike or any of those guys from Exile Racing recently? I'm pretty sure I lost $5500 and my car to them .. Please anyone who can offer and type of help would be awesome!
the only receipt I have for the money is the copy of the check from the bank .. Nothing from them at all, that's what I get for trusting them I guess .. I had brought my car to them a number of times and never had any problems so I never even thought that that could happen ..
Well that's just great, I haven't been on here in ages and I had no idea but had a pretty good feeling this was the case. They've had my car since March 2006 and I haven't talk to Steve since probably December about my car. $5500 for my new engine and my car which I probably have invested $20,000 into are both gone now .. Unreal ..
Ok, here is the complete details on this . . I dropped the car off May 28th, 2006 to have a 3.15L installed built for my turbosystem they designed and installed on my car . . I was the first 1995+ car that they had, they built the jigs off my car. They were also supposed to figure out what they were doing for stand-alone, install that, and make all my piping aluminum. There was more too I just can't remember all the details. I payed them $5500 cash up front to pay for all the parts and I had atleast been hearing from them on occasion last summer. Then starting around September it was very difficult to get in touch with them, and I would go a couple weeks with out talking to Steve. Now the last time I talked to him was sometime in March, I seriously think if he has actually been telling the truth that every family member he has is either going blind, fighting cancer, or dying? So then in April I get a call from the Wauconda Police Dept. saying they found my car abondoned in a parking lot. I freaked the fornicate out! When I calmed down I asked where and they told me 1210 Karl Ct. which is where their shop is located, so I settled down but I haven't been able to get in contact with them since then . . I'll try this Matt character and see if I can get in touch with him, otherwise I'm taking a trip down there this Sunday to scope things out and see if my car is still parked out front of their shop . . I don't know what else to do but call the cops after that? Oh and Jesse, I'm the kid from Green Bay, WI, you're car and my car were there at the same time a couple of times. It's the 1998 Sebring, gold, blitz body kit, turbocharged obviously . . I think you know which one I'm talking about ?
Exile Racing I believe stole my car, they won't contact me back. Anyone have any contact with them? Or know of anything I can do ? Read the thread in good guy bad guy for more info . .
Here's the deal guys, Exile Racing Technologies has had my vehicle in their posession since May 28, 2006. Yes almost a year, now it's not bad enough that they have had my car this long to rebuild a motor, install a stand-a-lone, and make some aluminum piping for the turbo, but what's even worse is I haven't heard from them in over 2 months again. Since May 28th, I have called them probably a hundred times, in which about 6 times they have actually returned my phone calls or emails. The last phone call I got about my car was from the Wauconda Police Dept. letting me know they found my car abandoned outside of a local business in their city. Well I informed them that business is the same one that is supposed to be working on my car, so not to worry about it, but it's been almost 6 weeks since I got that phone call. I gave them $5500 up front for everything to be done on my car and they don't even have the courtesy of keeping in touch with me about my car. I am almost convinced now that the damn thing is parted out and spread across the 48 contiguous states and maybe parts of Canada. What do I do know?
