if they forgot the piston rings you need to find you some new engine guys. seriously piston rings is like step 2 of reassembly. step 1 is making sure you have your piston rings.

when you get larger rims you also gotta worry about the speedometer being off "oh sorry officer i thought i was going 65 not 70" a friend of mine had a mustang and took it from the stock 15" rims to 20" rims....and got pulled over going what he thought was "just a little over" ended up being like 8 over what he thought.

hmmm. methinks me should read into some of this.

let us know what you find, it sounds interesting. though as i said, i've only seen it done with diesel.

on a side note, i love diesels. you can put ANYTHING into a diesel, propane, N02, hydrogen, veggie oil.
5  General Category / General Discussion / Re: Paint Ideas on: May 07, 2008, 12:08:38 AM
i actually don't like the carbon fibre look, it screams rice, yes it can be done well, (Bad Venge's is a pretty good example). so if you're going to go with carbon fibre, don't just slap on random carbon fibre parts.

i would take James's advice and wait til you get the kit to paint it to make sure its all done right. unless its going to be like 4 years til you get the kit....then go for it.

any particular reason you went with the shift boot rather than the plate? cause unless im mistaken they have the exact same shift plate.

i've seen a car run off of CNG(compressed natural gas) so i suppose propane wouldnt be too much differnt

i'd just hate to have to fill up at "blue rhino"  Cheesy

yeah, i've only seen propane done with diesels, so if you wanna give it a try, be careful!!

hydrogen is actually viable, i know this site sounds like B.S. but one of my instructors made something similar and it works

http://water4gas.com/2books.htm

basically you take a jar(or multiple jars for better results) put an anode and a cathode in(stainless steel wire works best) and put electricty to it, it splits the water into H and O and pipe it into your intake(if you have any kind of forced induction put it before that  to it still pulls a vacuum) for a diesel you're done, for a gas engine you need to trick your sensors to use the hydrogen more effeciently.

12  General Category / General Discussion / Re: Dodge Magnum on: May 01, 2008, 12:13:17 PM
buy something that gets upwards of 35 mpg, with gas prices heading to $6/gallon, you'll be spending more money buying gas than enjoying driving the car, before you know it you'll try returning it but the value will be so low you might as well donate it to charity. think smart, get a mini if you want balls, it gets good mileage along with it.

ONLY GET A MINI IF THERE IS A MINI DEALERSHIP NEARBY

seriously, mini's are almost impossible to work on yourself and only the MINI dealer will have the special tools required. if the mini dealership is within a short drive, GO FOR IT, they're alot of fun, and get crazy good gas milage (if you keep your foot out of it)

Nope, nothing to do with that.
Not related to each other.

so....do the "im keeping my avenger" and "im buying a conquest" have anything to do with eachother? and could it be possibly related to this thread http://asog.net/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,30/topic,3675.0 ?

?
i get no response..... Undecided
15  General Category / General Discussion / Re: Dodge Magnum on: April 30, 2008, 12:56:51 AM
SE 2.7L V6
SXT 3.5 V6
R/T 5.7 HEMI
SRT8 6.1 HEMI

with the MDS on the 5.7 it gets the same milage as the 3.5 V6

if you do more city, the 3.5 will save you more, if you do more highway the 5.7 is the way to go

and the SXT(3.5) and R/T(5.7) are available in AWD

http://www.dodge.com/en/2008/magnum/models/srt8/index.html

yay research.
