Im selling my 98 Avenger 420a.....i spun some bearings in it and bought a neon.....its an automatic the car has 99000 on it but the engine has 1500 miles on it.....Im lookin to get $1000 out of it trust me its worth it i have that in the head and the pistons sooooo let me know!!!
I have a 2.0 engine for sell....just the other day i spun a rod....i can sell just the block or just the head...the block is bored over .20 je pistons eagle rods....the head is stock except for oversized valves.... i wanna sell the engine for around $350.....or $200 for the head $150 for the block...i also have headers and high flow cat $100 APR wing $200 If you need anything just let me know i probably have it....thanks
I already tested the coilpack out i took it off and put it on another 420a and it started right up with no problem...I have all new plugs and wires on the car also, i changed them when the timing belt broke....Its definitly not the timing belt, im positively 100% sure its not it...I will check out he relay though....thanks
Its getting fuel, its just not getting spark......I just dont understand how i can drive it forever and then shut it off and it doesnt want to start back up...until one day it just doesnt want to start at all....
Since i have had the car... i have had a new motor installed bored out .20 and since the new engine has been put in it doesnt want to start some of the time....Well when i had the new motor in i ran it for about a week or so and then it started to act up and only start sometimes....then the timing belt broke and i had to replace the head...fixed that and then i ran the car for a couple of days and it started to not start up again...i replaced the camshaft sensor....and took it to a garage and he checked everything out and said everything was good....he couldnt figure out what was wrong with it....since then i still had the same problem but one day took it out and it started to shut off while driving...sometimes it would start right up and the shut off and sometimes it would start up and shut off after a couple of miles....i was guessin its the crankshaft sensor....But would really like some help on this one....thanks
Forgot to add that i already had it tested and nothing came up......when i got the car the timing belt broke and banged up the pistons, so i bought a whole new engine bored .20 over and a kid i know did all the work and the car started up fine before i had the new engine put in and since he put the new engine in it...it started to start when it wanted....
I have a 98 Avenger 2.0 DOHC....Two problems with it the a/c belt keeps runnin off the side of the power steer pump and i think its the tensioner pulley bc i can move it with my hand...But i dont wanna spend $150 on a pulley if thats not the case...
Also the car only wants to start when it wants....I can run it one second turn it off and the next second it wont turn back on...I was told it maybe the camshaft sensor so i changed it....and it still did it after i changed it....now im told its either the crankshaft pulley or my alarm system....The car turns over fine it just acts like it isnt getting and fire....any info on either subject would be very helpful....and if anyone has a cheap tensioner pulley that would probably be helpful to...thanks
