It is a pretty good chop.  I actually got it from here when the site was originally set up years ago.  There were a few more of the chopped venge and of Bill May's 6.7 second pro-outlaw 99 avenger.  That was a bad ass beast with a 400 big block.

I bought them for 150.  I've seen worse ones go for the same price.  We'll see what happens.

Cool.  I kinda figured that but was just checking to see if something was quicker and at home.  Thanks bro.  Check out myspace.com/concorde.  The pics of the work in progress are on there.

I wanna change out my motor mounts with Prothane inserts.  The inner rubber looks as if its pressed in after being frozen and the mount being heated.  There's also a small flange around both sides to keep it in place.
Does anyone know how to get it out without destroying the mount?
7  Tech Forums / 4 Cylinder Tech / Re: Emanage or Profec E-01 on: April 21, 2008, 05:45:27 PM
Since I have adjustable timing gears and I DID NOT put that friggen plastic shroud on, I can mess with my timing.  Once I get it, I'll run thru it and post some results.

Anyone use the Greddy E-manage with the 420A motor and harness?  Or the Greddy Profec E01?
9  Market Place / Wanted to Buy / Engine Bolts, Studs and Nuts on: August 02, 2007, 04:49:51 AM
I'm rebuilding my 420A and all of the oil pan, intake and exhaust manifold bolts, studs and nuts are rusted and rounded beyond use. No parts store sell these (friggen weird) in Fallon, Nevada and the junkyards won't part them out since the engines are intact.
Can anyone gather up what nuts, bolts and studs they can and help me out?
10  Tech Forums / 4 Cylinder Tech / Re: EGR, Evap and Vacuum Problems on: July 15, 2007, 05:59:41 AM
I should just block off the EGR and the EVAP.  Will the engine run boosted but I'll have a light, right?  I can live with the light.  I checked the manuals and none of the vacuum systems (as I see) run anything essential.
11  Tech Forums / 4 Cylinder Tech / EGR, Evap and Vacuum Problems on: July 15, 2007, 03:42:29 AM
I have a lot of questions about EGR, Evap and Vacuum since I turbo'd the engine.  I'm running about 10 lbs of boost.  Ever since I hooked up the vacuum tubes for EGR and Evap, I'm getting a whole bunch of codes.  Cruise control doesn't work.  I'm just gonna take that whole system out.  I put an EGR "Missing Link" on and it still hasn't fixed anything.  I'm thinking about totally removing all of the EGR, Evap and non-essential vacuum tubes.  But if I do, I'll get fault codes for them not being there.
Does anyone know of resistor (jumpers) I can put into the cannon plugs to trick the PCM in thinking that system is there?
If I totally remove that stuff, will it fix my problem?
Are there PCM mods to redo the computer so that stuff isn't in there?
Should I use a piggy-back or a stand alone?
Will a piggy-back or stand alone be able to correct EGR or Evap problems?
If there's anyone that knows a lot about this please feel free to email me or call me 775-217-4365.  Please leave a message if I'm not there.  Thanks in advance.

Sounds good.  Thanks
13  Tech Forums / 4 Cylinder Tech / Re: Star Stage 2 Turbo for 420A on: January 29, 2007, 08:57:44 PM
Thanks for the reply. I looked at AEM before and I have heard horror stories though.  I'm keeping my options open though and they're still on the list.
14  Tech Forums / 4 Cylinder Tech / Star Stage 2 Turbo for 420A on: January 29, 2007, 08:15:10 PM
I'm getting an engine rebuilt to support turbo charging and a mod'ed tranni.  Once the engine comes, I'm gonna install the the kit and throw it in the car.  What is a good engine management system to use?  I have my eyes on (cause I can't find any specific for the Venge) the Greddy E-manage and maybe the E-manage Ultimate.  But they're for the 4G63 Eclipse.  Are there any other systems out there that will do well?  What sort of issues might I face once the turbo is installed?  Will the evap system and vacuum system be a problem since I'm boosting what normally has vacuum?  Replies will be great but if anyone with really good knowledge of this wants to call, feel free.  James....757-450-0942
