maybe i'm poor but that seems like too good of a car to do somthing like that too

i would have bought a 300 pos and donated that to smash but either way my friends dad had one of those with an old century it was fun as hell to smash it up

oh...i'm still new to these cars

typically LT's produce more low end than shorties...

either way 20hp from headers is outstanding
33  Tech Forums / Body Mods / Re: How much horsepower? on: December 10, 2007, 04:57:49 AM
hm thats odd

I guess i've always been blessed with semi-decent manifolds till now lol

what happens to tq w/ headers?  I bet you lose some low end tq when you free up so much flow

it just goes by the name...just like for chevy...cavaliers disappeared and cobalts appeared....a cobalt wouldnt be considered the nxt gen. cavy.

yea thats what got me confused
35  Tech Forums / 6 Cylinder Tech / Re: MSD ignition install on: December 10, 2007, 03:54:37 AM
never done ign. on these cars but every other msd car (f-body's) has simply been plug and play.

it will prob. come w/ instructions on how to hook up the box too

20hp wheel hp proven?

wow stock manifolds must SUCK on these cars
37  Tech Forums / Body Mods / Re: How much horsepower? on: December 09, 2007, 07:19:14 PM
As far as I knew the headers alone give about 20 at the wheels, udp gives about 5, exhaust gives about 5 or 10... MSD doesn't help power but it helps rpms... I was thinking along the lines of 30+ at the wheels. I'm gonna get it dyno'd anyways. As of now, it has a poor tune, about 10K old... and then the new dyno will be w/ all the upgrades, a big tune, and the 120K tune.

sorry man but that is some really really hopefull thinking

i'd say exhaust (headers, dp, catback) will get you 5-15 at the wheels

aftermarket ignition does nothing to a NA engine, maybe if your runnin nitrous/turbo/S-C you may see some small gains but stock is just as good as aftermarket

Say the engine is running at stock specs. (V6)... Got Coated V6 headers, UDP, MSD, K&N Intake, Custom Cat-Back 2.5", and a Magnaflow Cat... What would I be looking at at the crank and at the wheels?

I'd say a butt-dyno of 20

maybe ~10ish but I'm not familar to how restrictive a stock exhaust system is on these.  The stock air intake doesn't appear to be that restrictive so IMO a "CAI" wouldn't get alot of ponies as most places advertise.

Safe bet is take the advertisers HP gains, divide that by 3 to get a more realistic gain lol

an eclipse isnt an avenger tho, from what i found venge/brings are just "streched" talon/eclipse platforms...

aren't all avengers the same 95-00 except a small hp increase 96+?

third gen?  I'm new to these cars but there was no avenger 01-07 right?
41  General Category / General Discussion / Re: new pics 12/2/07 on: December 07, 2007, 07:37:35 PM
that stang is pretty funky lookin...interesting

I always forget they make new Avengers...there really a different breed than the 1st "gen"

do they even consider the new ones to be the 2nd generation?
42  Tech Forums / 6 Cylinder Tech / Re: MSD ignition install on: December 07, 2007, 07:13:24 PM
whats all included in the "full ignition kit"

Never done it on an avenger but most ignition is pretty straight forward
43  General Category / General Discussion / Re: Parts Ca on: December 07, 2007, 02:15:15 AM
hellz yea!
44  Tech Forums / 6 Cylinder Tech / Re: Ypipe on: December 06, 2007, 02:27:30 AM
I don't like rmt

why?
even more lag
lots of piping
more weight
and too low to the ground for my comfort

once my trans am sells the venge is getting alot of new toys for it, i think i can piece up a turbo system for ~500 with patience (bare essentials, no supporting/tuning etc)
45  General Category / General Discussion / Re: Parts Ca on: December 06, 2007, 02:09:06 AM
eh it sucks but i understand, first one that puts money in the pocket gets the deal

sucks I lived an hour away and couldn't get it sooner.
