I hate all fords and I dont care who made it. It's still a ford.
yup thank God its a ford!

I didn't join the forums just to post the pics.  I joined back when I got the car and was using it as a daily driver.  if you want to do a fund-raiser by smashing a probe then go for it.  I have a fairly large collection of pictures of wrecked probes and I could use some more.  so just send me the pics when you do.

1st Gen Probe GT owns you.
not a stock one.  Smiley
stock 2.2 turbo probes run a about a 15.6 or .7
true they are much easier to make fast than the second gen but I'd rather another avenger looks wise over a first gen probe.

Yeah I was an auto-body tech for 3 years and painted for one.  I currently am a Tech 1 at sears.  so cars can frustrate me sometime.

regarding the comment about donating the probe. I'll do a quick comparison between the two cars.
let see,
Probe
pros. 2.5 liter V6 5 speed. 100k miles runs great looks great, handles great, definitely the most fun car I've ever driven that can be obtained for under $2k, comfy leather interior, sunroof, power options, cd, amp/sub. 16" factory chrome wheels, factory racing stripes.
cons.  its got a stupid name.

Avenger
pros. its got a cool name, 5 speed.  it looks alright
cons. blown 2.0, slow even when the motor ran, crappy interior, no power options, tape deck.

now I'm not knocking on avengers.  this is just a comparison of the one I had personally.  There are plenty that are alot better than that one and they are fine.  but the one I had really wasn't worth ****

couldn't really part it out actually.  First of all its a 12 year old car that nobody wants. Aside from the few people on this website nobody really cares about avengers.  I've seen part out threads on here.  with no motor it usually takes about a month to clear $100 maybe longer.  we did not have the time to keep a car sitting around for a possibility of making money.  this way was quick and fun.

its actually not a charity, but we are a non-profit.org  It was for the Police Explorer Post on campus, we're trying to raise enough money to get uniforms.

haha thanks for the comments.  My current car is a ford probe and I'm on a forum for them and I know if I posted something like this but witha  probe over there people would whining and crying about it.   Cheesy

Here's how it looked on saturday

first the back story.
It was my daily driver for a couple weeks.  I couldn't afford to keep two cars insured though so I sold it to my boss.  Then the motor started to go out and the cheapest motor we could find was $1200.  plus it needed some body work so my boss was like "**** it"  and donated it to a non-profit org that I am a member of to get the tax deductible receipt.  So my organization needed a fund raiser.  We had a car that was a piece of crap so.....

Car SMASH!!!
Anyway it still sorta ran, I drove it to where the event would happen and when we parked it I just started revving!  it actually only took about 1.5 seconds at 7k rpm and BOOM!
it was amazing.  unfortunately we did not get it on video, but the hood was open so it was pretty impressive.
here is the engine damage
hole in the block

Multiple holes in oil pan

on to the smashing.

fun for the whole family

we made over $100 and then got $50 from the junkyard for scrap metal.

for those with facebook.  here's the whole album
