Your absolutely right, that's my setup... and i'll do that 1st thing after work tomorrow, thanx! and i wish you'd post more picz of your whip, i'm luvin that purple paint job! and are those wires? tell me you got a cardomain page
finding a headlight and stuff isn't the problem...the bar and inside the fender are so bad, that i can't even get the passenger headlight out! these pix will give u guys a better understanding the bullshit i'm dealing wit...
and gettin a kit would only make it even more noticeable in my opinion, u know?
well...that was the plan...at first... but i got jipped on this car...long story short, i fell for a bullshit lie after being without a car for 4 months... i got it on impulse, and turns out, it wuz a salvage title... i recently got an estimate on the body damage...came out to around $2700... all this time i thought it wuz just this >>> the bar that hols the headlights in place, is fucked up on the passenger side, causing the headlight to be pushed back and tilted upwards a bit... not to mention that one'z chrome housing and the other's black... but i didn't know that until i had the headlights buffed... but there's fender damage, rear bumper assembly stuff, etc, etc... it's a lot of excrement...i paid $3400, since the damage is close to that, i say screw it... i'll just work on my interior and sound system... add lights, more speakers, etc...ya know
MY setup has changed a bit, and since i got my computer and cam again, here'z picz...
i'm running mine off the factory HU and Infinity amp... 4 gauge power wire RF rca's 1-Punch 2 channel 400 watt amp 2-10" MTX 5500 subs in large slot vented box Kicker 5.25...soon to be 6.5 kicker component set as soon as i find some tweeters stock 6x9z... my setup hits ALOt harder than you'd think... but i'm still workin on it!!!
now your pieces look good! another problem i have is choosing a color... my car is 2 different colors...gold body, with silver hood, front bumper, and rear bumper... it doesn't really look that bad, but i got jipped by some foreigners... but anywayz, i was thinking GREEN w/ flakes because my interior is tan leather, w/ a black dash n stuff... but, i've got blue lights in my trunk, and i've got the LED spot light things sitting behind my steering wheel, because my dash still isn't lighting up...it works ok, i'm gonna get some more and put em on a switch...
but lemme get this straight... -get any kinda primer do several coats -then do several thin coats of the paint, and the same with the gloss
correct?
and the kandy paint i was talking about in wal-mart...i meant 'kameleon'...the one that goes from green to blue to purple... but i dunno, i can't decide!!!
kool, i've got the center piece and radio trim off...i sanded both, but uh...i painted the center piece, and well... it looks like excrement! i used an aerosol can spray paint...green w/ flakes...sprayed it over a Papa Johns box, lol... dried drops on the side...a puddle in the lil cubby...i wuz so mad! but what kinda primer do i need??? where can i get it??? i've been interested in the in the 'kandy paint' found in wal-mart...doesn't look bad... but if i'm wrong, you guys lemme know! i also thouhgt about goin to NAPA to get some paint mixed, but i dunno...i need some guidance!!!
Would it be possible to add an "Interior" forum... it would cover more than, but also including, additional speaker setups, painted interiors, fabric covered interiors, racing seats, re-done seats, gauges, dash mods, and other things of that nature... it's just an idea, but i'd like to see it done...anybody else agree??
ok, i want to do SOMETHING with my interior! i'm going to be adding speakers, and stuff like that... but i'd like to know more about painting interior pieces... tell me what you guys have done to paint your interior stuff... like the dash, door panels, center console, rear quarters... tell me if you sanded down, didn't sand down, used primer, what kind of paint, etc...
ok, that's a lil better...but what series is the sub? the wattage? and your box, is it fairly small, with a cardboard roll as the port, like a papertowel roll? and 200 watts, in my opinion, isn't enough to power a subwoofer...u should try a bigger amp...
I think you guys forgot about me... I've got a '98 ES, automatic, V6, and when i turn on my headlights, my gauges, hvac, etc, dont light up... but, on my stock radio, the display dims...i think it could still be a fuse, but i've also been told that it could be a pinched wire, and recently been told that the dimmer switch could've been shorted out... so could someone with an Avenger somewhat compatible to mine please post a pic of the diagram on the lid of the fuse box under the dash, and of the fuses so that i can check to see if i've got all of my fuses in the proper order and place... i'd appreciate it!
well in MY experience,... sealed does give tighter bass, and tends to take more power for a great sound outside... and ported, well i use slot vented, gives louder bass, especially inside the cabin, and yes, takes less power to hit hard... but it also depends on the sub, i.e.- size, wattage, excursion, etc, etc...as well as the amp your going to use... so if you provide more info on what you gonna use, we could all give u a better opinion... hope i helped...holla
as far as i know, i didn't reset anything... but it's a possibility... ...what would i had to have done to reset it, and IF that's what it is... how do i correct it??
