When I did my valve cover i clean the valve cover and the block part with acatone and get off all the black stuff that is left from the old oil. Then I put a high temp RTV sealent on both side of the rubber gasket not too much! Just a little bit of it just to holr the rubber gasket. Then put it togeter and torque the bolt in squence. Let the car sit for 24 hours to give the sealent a time to cure up then you should not have any leaks. did it on my 2 eclipse's and no problem

What year is your avenger? My friend and I did a 3.0 swap on a 97 avenger. Car runs smooth. You will notice about a 40 horsepower difference! What state do you live in? I thank you for this information. One questions is do I need the wiring harness replaced with anew one for all the sensor or just keep mine,i have a 98 eclipse don't I need to take the transmission computer out?

I would like to know if anybody knows and how to change a automatic transmission to a manual 5 speed? I have a 2.0 dohc eclipse using the same transmission and engine of a avenger. I am good with doing the work myself,i help a friend do a engine swap for 2.5l v6 avenger to a 3.0l v6 so i am good with the machanics of it. Some one help Than you
