1  General Category / General Discussion / Re: Drivetrain swap ? on: November 13, 2007, 08:50:25 PM
It was just a thought. Figured it wasn't possible without lots and lots of money.

Well, maybe I'll look into getting it flashed once I get the converter issue fixed. Sorry to hear about all that DT. That's a lot of bad luck. How was it when it was running?

yeah, i knew the 3.0, 3.3, and 3.5 are all possible swaps, I just thought that the 3.8 would be ultimate.

Yeah. I appreciate all that. I've got a nice B&M cooler for it. I just haven't put it on. I'm fairly certain that they re-used my old converter when they rebuilt the tranny, so now it's the converter thats giving me problems, not the actual tranny. I did have a shift kit installed at the rebuild and that shop was not able to re-flash the tcm so It's shifted kinda weird sometimes ever since. Where can I take it to have it re-flashed? I'm fairly sure that it needs it. I don't think the transmission knows it has a shift kit in it. Huh
5  General Category / General Discussion / Drivetrain swap ? on: November 11, 2007, 09:09:19 PM
Just a question. Has anybody thought of throwing a mivec 3.8 and 6-speed out of an '06 up eclipse gt into a Venge/Bring? I don't know if this is even possible but I was brainstorming one day and thought about it and thought it would be a really awesome swap if it can be done. Although that particular drivetrain probably costs more than what your average Venge is worth I still think it would make a really cool swap.

Not much JBI. What you been up to? No I very very rarely ever shift it manually. Especially after sinkin $1200 in it last year.

No won't hurt them at all. I got chrome on the bring and I use them on it.

Try a Mr Clean magic eraser. Works wonders.
9  General Category / General Discussion / Re: Hi all on: November 11, 2007, 07:23:29 PM
yeah, I'm not sure how long it's been. I lost my job recently so I got time to burn now. The bring is once again having tranny issues, I think it's the torque converter this time. I'm gonna have to take it back to the place that rebuilt the tranny and tell them to fix it cuz it's only been a year since they did it. I'm looking at a new job that pays a lot better and I'm single now, so I might actually have money to do something else to the car within the next little bit. Hopefully. I rolled over 146k last week. Hows your engine build coming Dark?

12  General Category / General Discussion / Shaved door handle solenoid placement on: August 16, 2007, 05:44:10 PM
I am as we speak trying to install my shaved door handle kit. I was just wondering where to put the solenoids. I've got 35lb autolocs and they're pretty big. Any info would be great. Thanx.
13  General Category / General Discussion / Re: AWD Dyno on: August 16, 2007, 05:42:00 PM

14  General Category / General Discussion / AWD Dyno on: August 13, 2007, 09:29:15 PM
Hey all. Haven't been by in a while. I don't know how many of you care or how many of you are located close enough to take advantage of it but one of my close buddy's just got an AWD dyno installed in his shop. Heres a link to his shop webpage. www.appalachianperformance.com
15  General Category / General Discussion / Re: Whats up on: June 21, 2007, 01:00:42 AM
Yeah I really don't have the money for something like that. And If I did I gotta be honest, I would probably just buy a fast car.
