Easy question. Besides the horrible smell, what are the other signs that your catalytic converter has decided to finally quit workin on you??

I have a 98 Sebring LXI with the moonroof that has a retractable sun shade I guess you'd call it.  Some water leaked in, froze, and now the fabric needs to be reglued.  Has anyone ever removed this shade?  I'm curious if its as simple as it seems?  Just bend it and pop it out?  Let me know if you've had any experience with this, thanks!

Did you by any chance have the same problem with your spark plugs being oily when you pull them out?  Also, did you use the sealant on the gasket, or apply it to the head and valve cover?

Not to sound like a total noob or anything, but isn't the idea of the gasket to be the sealant?  I followed the steps in the chilton manual, and it didn't list anything about sealant?  Has anybody else had this problem, and/or done this type of work?  I'm pretty mechanically inclined, and never had this kind of an issue before.

Ok, this one has got me stumped, a couple of weeks ago, my front valve cover on my v6 98 bring was leaking, so I changed the gasket, and the three round ones for the spark plug tubes.  It ran fine for about 2 weeks, now after sitting for a couple of days, I have the same problem again, but worse, the oil is actually coming up out of the spark plug wells, any ideas what may be causing this?  Also, when I unscrew and remove the sparkplug, it is also covered and dripping with oil??  Please help if you have any ideas.
