I have a engine computer out of a 97 Dodge Avenger 4 cyl auto that I bought thinking my computer was fried, it wasn't.  Computer plugs into car and runs fine.  Asking $75 +shipping.  Paid over $100.

So I removed my silencer and the other thing from under my car  Grin on my exhaust.  I went around the corner from the shop and the engine fuse blew.  It blew another, theres no exhaust leaks and the 02 sensor was put back in the exhaust.  Would pulling out the "other" part of my car have to do with this?

I put in a new computer, Crank Sensor, Cam Sensor, and an ASD relay and it now runs.  I still have some amount of stutter at idle but now I have a leaky head gasket, this will be the third one and the car only has 96,000 on it grrr.  I'm guessing the block is warped, I hope not, thats my only explination on why it keeps leaking, my head hasn't needed milling either time.

I'm looking to convert my 97 Avenger to rear disc brakes.  I need the rear brake back plate/e-brake stuff.  I also need the drivers side window track, mines broke and gets hung up and does this nasty snap sound, its not pleasing on the ears.  I ordered the window assembly from the Stealership and it came with everything except the track, grr.  I also need a turn signal switch (or headlight w/e you want to call it)

Since they couldn't figure it out and after a long heated discussion with the shop foreman they only charged me $20, so I'm not out much.

So I put an ohm meter on the cam position sensor and I'm getting nothing, power in the wires.  I'll pull the crank position sensor in the morning and double check.  My local Dodge dealer said everything was fine, but I don't really trust them now.

I swapped the ASD relay with the drivers side one (cut off the tab or whatever you want to call it)  It started up and ran fine.  I shut it off and went to start it back up and it won't start again, no spark again, no power to the coil.  Just to clarify the crank sensor we're talking the one in the middle, not the one buy the oil filter right?  Any help?

Sorry guys, I got a little out of hand.  I now know why you guys get upset over people asking about the swap constantly, I'm having the same issues on another forum about my Celi and its 4AGZE swap, now I understand.  My apalagies  go out to me asking dumb questions about the swap hehe.

Anyone have any input on what else could possible be wrong?  I've been trying to find a wiring diagram so I can check the wiring out with a tester, but my local parts stores claim they can't get the manuals for them anymore Angry  Anyone know of a website that has wiring diagrams?

I thought I remembered seeing somewhere that they won't interchange.  Aren't the heads on the Neon backwards compared to an Avenger, the exhaust comes out the back instead of the front?

sorry for asking a simple fucking question.  I've found no where on the site that says before that previous post by admin why you must you use the 2.0 head, says you have to, but not the reason why.  At first I thought 2.0 head on 2.4, bump up the compression, not what you want to do on a turbo motor, then I get flamed.  excrement has really changed here since the old forums, at least there you didn't have to put up with arrogant dicks.  Ya'll talk down to everyone like they're retarded, which is unecessary and childish.  Christ, this has turned into just like a Corvette forum, bunch of arrogant stuck up pricks.  ya, I may not know excrement about Dodge/Mitsubishi, thats what I came back to this site after 5 years, I remembered everyone was so polite and kind there, them BLAAAAAAAAAMMMMM!
Very disapointed.

GRRRRR Its doing the same thing again, retraced the wires and no broken ones, resoldered the one that was broke, still nothing.  And now instead of it not firing, it also has a cracked front bumper.  I took the car to the local Dodge dealer and they don't know whats wrong with it.  Coils good, Crank Positioning sensor is good, computers good, ASD is good.  They were all replaced with new parts.  Any thoughts here?  Blinker fluid, muffler bearing hehe.
I got offered a 2jz swap kit for the 81 Celica today for trade on the Avenger, i'm about ready to say SOLD!

Okay, now I get it.  This swap is interesting me more and more.  So when you decide to boost, do you keep the 2.0 head or upgrade to the 2.4?  If i'm asking stupid questions, tell me to shut up and I will lol.
