after you see what chuck has choose beetween that and the blue because the gold will throw it off

can't find that chip!!! tore the garage all apart (now gotta clean it up) it was origionally found in the sikkens color scala flip outs. think it may have been alfa romeo or lancia
not 100% sure though. also think it may have been color scala chip #1658/1659
still not sure but if you(scott) have access to sikkens chips check them out. pretty sure it
was in the 1600s though somewheres mid to end (you'll find it easilly if you can flip through them looking for something like it cause it stans out) one way you look at it its blue and the
other dir. is yellow/gold complete 180 flop but just pearl not the new $$$ color shifts
and they are not strong colors(and you can always reduce and make even more trans.)sorry!

I my opinion those switches can go out quite often.  I replaced 1 a few years ago, and now I think it is already starting to break down.

try wiggling switch and see if light comes on (it may be just a loose screw)
if the switch is gone then look for a similar one from another model car that
doesn't have this prob. i'm thinking of switching to ones used in the 2000
style volvo truck (tractor trailer) but thats only because i work for a dealer
and they are free and i need to weld my screw holes over cause they are
way to big now.

It seems as though everyone is from ont/man or further west, but i see some venges around here that i haven't bougt yet and there must be some in new bruns and P.E.I.
(nothing heavily moded) I'll have to spread the word to see if I can get some east coast involvment (wont be making any long trips for a while) but am planning to head to Ont
as soon as mine or the wifes are back on the road.

yeah all 3 of my venges have the same prob. but i found it was not the switches but the screw holding them in was not tight and the hole was stripped. that is where they complete the circiut with ground. you may be able to put in a bigger screw or you may have to weld the hole over and redrill.

I agree...less is more. chrome and polished is nice but expensive so go black with some silver and maybe a little bit of accent (bolts and other add-ons) and then over time you could add some chrome and polishing as you can afford. it's always a work in progress(are we ever really done with mods)

you can use masking tape and cover the laptop with it very well then spray with wd-40
then push it into area with fg or bondo after rough shape has been made. this will give a perfect outline of piece being installed.

I'm in debert just outside n.s.

wow there is actually something happening in here!
10  Tech Forums / Body Mods / Re: Surface prep for Bondo (bodyfiller) on: May 18, 2007, 12:28:48 AM
u can use a heavy plastic and lay over the panel and then apply stamp. leave the plastic on (it will help avoid air pockets) pull off after it dries...then sand and bondo.

or you could use pb blaster/w-d 40 or similar pen fluid as a release agent just be sure to wash off really well with solvent before doing any more work...

12  Tech Forums / Body Mods / Re: Aftermarket spoiler. on: May 17, 2007, 03:13:23 AM
this color goes over a white base..its a translucent "kinda candy" but not totaly
transpearent as a candy would be and should be able to spray car with not much more than a quart.if not a quart.
i'll get info and pass it on if i can find it in the mess.
13  Tech Forums / Body Mods / Re: Fenders.. too good to be true? on: May 17, 2007, 03:08:39 AM
no it was primer. and as if there was no gel coat or not enough anyway.
they seemed quite thin and crack easily.
14  Tech Forums / Body Mods / Re: Fenders.. too good to be true? on: May 17, 2007, 02:52:33 AM
any of the kits n parts i've had exp. with in the sick green primer were not of a good quality (how do these seem).
15  Tech Forums / Body Mods / Re: New front bumper? on: May 17, 2007, 02:48:23 AM
i like my bumper on my '95 venge.  its kinda more round and has nice smooth curves than next version of venge's bumper IMO

[i agree i like the 95/96 also but i really like the viper kit...i'm planning to put one on my red 96 and paint the car prowler orange/quote]
