Check my Cardomain. It has almost all the V6 stuff minus built stuff like the auto tranny, engine, turbo, 5-speed etc... These cars can make a decent amount of power. Just need time, money, and patience...
My Sebring has about 250hp at the crank and about 190hp and the wheels... Torque is the same. W/ a little bit of effort and time, these cars can easily beat, if not, at least keep up with many, many cars on the road now. Not to mention when you roll up next to a Mustang, the guy driving is like " Yeah I'm gonna run all over you dude". Then the light turns green and he's left many car lengths back. These are just my personal experiences though.
Hey JBI, pic of rims? Oh and about gas mileage... i was getting about 20 mpg w/ mixed driving and I changed to mostly highway AND started to use the cruise control for teh first time ever and averaged 28 mpg!
will i be able to race friends with my a604 tranny and stuff like that still with my swap
yes and don't cry cause you will loose
Alain
Lol to Alain.
These trannies won't last long if you beat on them even if they are built... As long as it's only once in a while a good rebuild will last for years. Just don't race it and floor it everyday and you'll be fine.
He uses all the updates for these transmissions plus he uses a stronger differential and uses gears called Road Rage Gears. Our original gearing is 47/49 I believe, the RR Gears are 41/56. SO basically, the RR Gears give you a butt load of acceleration at the cost of highway gas mileage being poor.
Nope. You're stuck w/ this tranny. Nothing else works. Right now, DMS is working on a 5 speed conversion but it will take some time to finish it. If you want, Hannibal Transmissions does performance builds for these trannies for around $1000 to $1500.
Lol it'll put more stress on the transmission cuz these trannies are crap... They break under stock conditions. I had a 3.0 plus a bunch of other stuff put in mine and I am being very careful til I can afford a rebuild for the tranny. So yes unless you be careful with it.
so the engine has to come out of an automatic...damn thanks for that info....lol......also i belive its comeing out a 1999 galant that does bolt right up to the tranny and engine bay right?
I said Yep to this, " that does bolt right up to the tranny and engine bay right? "
