62  General Category / General Discussion / Re: F'ing bad month. on: April 10, 2008, 06:18:04 PM
I thought i was having a bad month when i got a side puncture on a half year old tire last weekend. Ive been down that road before though. Even though everyhting feels like its falling apart around you, your body will always keep breathing. It's cruel that the world doesnt stop when bad things happen, but neither does your body, and thats when you need it most.  Wink Isnt it awesome how a healthy body ensures that theres always tommorow?

Theres where the hope lies, in the future. All futures involve change. That is what makes them different from what is the present. As much as we dont like change, without it hope would not exist. When times are bad my hope is centered around this.  I am always in control of my future choices. If i just start choosing what is beneficial and expedient, i will be moving towards a better life. A better life starts with a choice.

Would we know security without knowing insecurity first? Huh He who is able to find comfort in what is insecure and uncomfortable will never feel powerless, but emboldened by the new challenges he faces.

Theres an arab saying that goes, " The nature of rain is the same, but it makes thorns grow in the marshes and flowers grow in the gardens."

Im not saying that the glass is half full, or half empty. But it is both half full and half empty. Such is life.  Undecided

Take what your given and if it doesnt kill you... it can only make you stronger.  Wink

but doesnt smooth shifting compromise the speed of the shifts? Say if one installed the Trans Go kit in thier cars, the car would shift firmer and faster that it had before. The Trans Go does this by modifying the pressure in the transmission fluid (or some fluid) right? Huh Huh But as you continue to drive with the Trans Go installed, wont the a604 learn that the pressure is too great, then adapt itself to the new pressure, and finally return the the old slower smoother shifts again?

so i got in my car today and went to drive it to the garage, and there were no creaks or shcreeching when i turned the wheel. It's a Good Friday Miracle!!!!  Shocked ...not really i think that the screeching and the creaking has to do with the temperature. Today is a lovely 50 degree day in CT and in the past when the car has exhibited the problem, the tempoerature was in the 30's or below.

I just got the belts changed. I dont think it could be a wheel bearing or a suspension issue because the car would still be making noise no matter what the temperature is...

im stumped. Undecided

Was thinkin today bout this... Wouldnt our self adjusting a604 make the trans go modification pointless? If the transmission is always learning theres no way to trick it into doing what we want it to do. Is there any possible way to turn it off?
74  Tech Forums / Suspension and Brakes / steering noise on: March 20, 2008, 04:47:02 AM
this year is the first year my car has seen winter (new hampshire/ Connecticut) with no garage. I drive my car about once or twice every week but whenever i do. Whenever i go over a bump the entire car creaks and whenever i steer the wheel it soundls like a witch being burned in oil... does anyone know could be the source of the problem?
75  General Category / General Discussion / Re: Do you have a road like this? on: March 20, 2008, 04:39:45 AM
It takes me 20 mins to get to work at the opera house but i get to drive 149. I got up to about 90 where it says "E. Haddam Moodus Rd"! When i went high school i took this road to get there and one day my buddy in his dodge stealth and me in the avenger were racing to school. It was wicked fun until we got pulled over doing 60 in a 25.  Shocked but we didnt get tickets tho.... Guess what the cop was his GODFATHER!!!!! Grin Grin crazy stuff. but its definitely a good road. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=colchester+ct&ie=UTF8&ll=41.489935,-72.42754&spn=0.061593,0.173378&z=13&iwloc=addr
