the receiver car beeing a 95 and the donor beeing a 97 you will need to swap every sensors from the 95 engine and put them on the 97 engine 95 sensors have round small pins and in 97 they were using flat larger pins
also the 97 transmission is not a direct swap into a 95 car the 95 transmission used 2 connectors and the 97 only has a larger one
you are facing a few problems with different solutions
A doing the 96+ rewiring job for the transmission that I posted in the transmission forum
or
B converting the 95 car with the 97 electronic and wirring harness you will need to swap the 2 computers and everything connected to them

I'm sure some of you may remember me coming on here looking for a motor and trans for my parent's '95 avenger...well, I'm bored tonight and figured I'd fill some people in on whats going on.
some local kid wrecked his '97 into some trees, and left a perfect donor motor and trans...we bought the whole car for $400...not too shabby...anyways...onto the pics

here's the donor car, most things will be getting parted out on this with the exception of the motor and trans of course, but the front fenders, hood, and a few things I'll have to make a list for will be parted

any input on some crap we should replace on the motor before it is rested in the tan car would be great...we need to replace one of the rocker bars(I'm assuming that's what its called) b/c at higher RPM's you can hear it rattling...spark plugs is an obvious one as well...but anything else you avenger guru's know of, let me know...thanks
normally i wouldn't ask a simple question like this if i had both cars at my house to look at...but one is in my garage, and the other's is my uncles 2 hours away, so i cant really just crawl under and have a look for myself...so do any of you know if they're interchangable?!?...i'd call my local parts stores, but they're not exactly "helpful" when it comes to, well...anything...TIA guys

anyways, you might know the guy if your on some gp forums. i'm not entirely sure what he used for a screen name on em but he was going by pizzagtp on asec. he lives over in chicago area. the nitrous purge right after that is my car and its in his garage where the video was taken. he used to own an avenger before the gtp and then got that and then sold that for a c5.

does anyone on here from the SE michigan area know a kid that drives an orange venge bith body kit, lambo doors...fat wing...and custom interior?...seen him a while ago...was telling me he was planning on a supercharger or turbo setup, wanting to know if hes followed through with it..b/c the race was simply embarassing(2.0?? auto is what he had)

Umm, from the get go you have totally been trying to inundate this thread with grand-pricks stuff. We don't have a grudge on them, or you, but if you think posting that stuff and putting down our cars at the same time in this thread is going to get you anywhere you have really lost your way.

thread or forum?..im on a couple "grand pricks" forums...i didnt dog anyone's car..i just posted some vid's...didnt realise that was a crime???...and i get told my car sucks pretty much...so in my defense...all IIIIIIIIII said is that IIIIIIIIII have yet to lose to a stock or modified avenger/sebring...and then i even complimented them...there is one owned in this household, is it mine?...no...do i think it's a POS?...no, it needs a new tranny and maybe motor...has it been a decent point A to B car???...yes...i dont know a lot about avengers..so i wouldnt be compeltely dogging them like you guys think i am...i just dont like that mitsubishi made a V6 that is the same size as the 4-cylinders that chrysler use to put in their Daytona's...so stop getting all defensive...damn
So Steve.. Have you owned an Avenger/Sebring before? Or did you just join this Forum with your Grand Prix to start crashing threads with stuff that has nothing to do with this forum?
I got nothing against you right now.. But a lot of members would start to get pretty upset if you come in here and show off a car that is built to be faster, with more factory HP, and retails for almost twice as much... and start bashing our cars.
didnt mean to crash the thread..like i said..no one was posting any useful videos, so i just threw up some grand prix vid's...and i do not own an avenger...but if you read the "wanted" forum you'd see my stepdad does, and i joined looking for a tranny for it...im not trying to bash at all, and sorry if it came off that way...all i did was post up some vids, and my car started getting bashed, thats where the "never lost to stock or modified avenger" came from

no need to be hatin on em'...especially since my stock gtp has yet to lose to any stock or moddified avenger...hell even with my g/f driving she has taken quite a few...but i will admit i do like the looks of the avengers, just not the "powerplant"
and i agree..it did look like the camaro was toying with him, b/c he was catching up and it looked like the prix got a head start

hi, im new here only b/c this isn't my car...my stepdad was driving down the road and the trans decided to blow up on him out of nowhere, so until then he is driving my '98 grand prix GTP...it's the 2.5L engine...so you all know it doesn't come with the 5-speed, just need an OEM replacement...you can Email me at imthegr8_1@msn.com
