what is the toque specs for the lug nuts on 97 venge es.  Also, I have the front wheels off and I lost track of left and right.  I don't see any difference in tire wear or shape......so does it really make any difference?

While, doing a search on photobucket I came across your venge.  I was wondering what all mods you have done with the exhaust to make it sound that good.  Also, how much of a difference did getting the CAI make?

btw, nice car.

Well, the fuse I discovered as being toasted was inside, and it turned out to be the cig lighter.  I couldn't do anything with the hazard switch, but a new one at autozone was 16 bucks, and Ill have it this friday.  Thanks for the help.

btw, I finally went out to the scrap yard and got the fuse cover Roll Eyes.

Cylinder #1 is the cylinder closest to the coolant reservoir.
1043  Tech Forums / 6 Cylinder Tech / exhaust leak on: January 31, 2007, 06:39:41 PM
There is an exhaust leak in either the front manifold of the frontal area of the downpipe.  what I wondering is if there is an area which is noted for being leaky or any good tricks for locating a leak (other than just listening).  As cold as it is here, I though I might be able to see it, but no such luck. If you could post a diagram that would be great.  I'll be going out today to replace that fuse and check things out again.  I have a haynes manual, but I've decided its good for toilet paper maybe.  Thanks alot for the help!

alright, thanks!  I was messing with that switch yesterday and I couldn't get anything to happen.  Then I decided to inspect the fuses personally (the last owner said they were ok and I haven't done anything with the electrical system since).....I found a toasted 10 amp fuse.  I would know what its to, but the last owner managed to lose the box cover.....  Maybe the fuse blow becuase of something having to do with that switch....who knows....

I have just discovered a post where dvenge was having the same problem.  It seems that the power for the turn signals is routed through the blinker switch when its off.  He said he just wiggled it a bit and the signals worked again.  No one ever said if the horn worked again too.   ??  If anyone remembers, or if you see this dvenge please let me know whats up.  Thanks!

blinkers are perfectly ok.  i looked at the fuses under the hood and inside down by the floor, all were ok.

Both turn signals and horn are not working at all!  Hazard lights are ok, brake lights are ok, all the other controls on the steering column are ok.  I have checked the fuses and they are ok.  Does anyone know what the heck is going on here? Huh

Also, if your going to paint, make sure you use engine paint or grill paint.  And after you clean it up and sand it, make sure to hit it with a residue free solvent.  I like M.E.K. (Methyl Ethyl Ketone).  Just keep it off yourself.
