Yes. Someone should really put this in the faq..... It takes some time to do but it isnt hard if you have the right tools... I'll send you a PM later this afternoon.
I just remembered that the key works in a glove compartment lock. I forgot to try the trunk still . In the doors its acts like it wants to move but it cant. Its almost a really firm elastic feeling....
I would really rather have the two piece, but like Anthony said, there is a lot of moisture on the ground in the midwest (I live in Indiana). Is that really a concern?
When I bought this car a few months ago the only key I got was a copied key. I knew it worked just fine in the ignition, but since it was in a garage I never saw the need to lock it. Now I am finding that the key doesn't work in the door locks. I haven't tried the trunk. The guy at the dealership said the same key should work for all. Is there any part of the anti-theft system or electrical door lock system that could cause this , or do I need to get a new key from the dealership. Also, all the lock cylinders are origional.
I remember someone telling me that their car actually ran better with regular than with premium. He said premium takes longer to combust or something along those lines. He doesn't drive a venge though, he drives an Acura TSX.
If you talking about the Injen I assume you are, then Its on exileracing's website. The V2 is there too at a stout 285 bucks ... I can't find one on Ebay either... I was looking at a "chromeintakes" CAI on eBay. I heard some people that had em who said they were decent. At the very least, I can get a good one for 40 bucks and buy an AEM this summer when I can work full time again...
btw, I was thinking of getting an MSD ignition kit too, am I going to notice a difference with only a CAI along with it?
Wha ?....anyway, get one of those good name-brand ones, if you get one of those cheap ones your car will look like you buy nothing but the "cheapest crap" out there, and it ussually isn't the same quality. Buy the good quality stuff Cool
naa, not me. I'm not tight. I don't squeak when I walk, promise .
I have installed blue conduit instead of the old black everywhere you can possibly see, a CAI is short in the coming, and the rest is going to have to wait untill spring. I was thinking of getting a can of degreaser that you spray everywhere and hose it all off in the driveway (covering your electrical parts of course). Ahhh, who knows.....
Well, I've posted some pics of my car into a photobucket album. This is, for the most part, exactly how I recieved the car. The interior is much better and the engine is cleaned up a bit since then. I have also added some blue conduit since then and I will post new pics before long.
this car was very poorly kept up until now. Its got 117,000 miles on it.
What I need to know is what on Earth I can do with this to "spiff it up". ( ) I am on a low budget and the climate here is freezing right now, but I am willing to put in as much work as could be needed!
I have been looking at some of those "performance chips" on eBay lately. As far as I can see, all they do is make the ecu think there is a different amount of air flowing through the plenum then there really is which in turn makes in run leaner? Does this really make a difference? Are these things worth it?
OR.....Could you possibly do it yourself! ...(assuming it would have a purpose)
Yea. I bought some new blue conduits to run and as soon as I finished and started to wrap them I realized how stupid it was when I could have just wrapped them with blue tape to begin with!
Well, I live in Indiana where it is currently snowing like hell . But I would never dream of running it filterless anyways . I am going to go for the chrome-intakes CAI, what do you think about it?
Sounds like a transmission problem. It could be that its not quite in gear, but its not quite out of gear. That way, the car thinks its moving when its not, and jerks around because its not fully in gear at first. Thats only an idea, and I admit I dont know a lot about trannies. I can however, be very sure that its a transmission problem .
