Everything I've heard about a turbo set-up says "yes"  to fuel delivery mods.

Alrighty, then what performance fuel pump, and what size of injectors do you or anyone else recommend for fuel delivery of
4-7psi boost from a garret T04E hybrid turbo, running off of both sets of 3 exhaust heads, no intercooler, and custom chargepipe leading
to maybe a gutted intake plenum with a modified IAT sensor?

list costs as well if you can, just got a huge paycheck, project should come nicely!

I may have heard this a while back, but does the 6G73 have a lean burning fuel curve? If so, I've already got my custom turbo setup fabricated, now I just need to prepare the fuel delivery. Only going to run 4-7psi, mainly to give just a little extra kick, reducing gas pedal lag. I just need to know if this engine has a lean fuel curve so as to balance it out without running larger injectors and/or a performance fuel pump and custom rail lines. Thanks.

3  Tech Forums / 6 Cylinder Tech / Re: 3.0L 6G72 Turbo Manifold w/ 2.5L 6G73 on: December 10, 2006, 06:56:13 PM
2.5 headers fit on a 3.0 block... but 3.0 headers will not fit on your avenger sebring. Yes they bolt up... but they will not clear everything in your engine bay nor match up with your downpipe

thats fine, actually, all i need is the turbo manifolds to bolt to the engine's ports. then get me a TD04-9B and run off no exhaust piping for a bit until I can take the car into the shop to get some custom piping done. it seems im going to have to remove the OEM fans to make room for the turbo and manifold.

if this wont work, probably a remote STS turbo system, similar... only other solution.

OK, I have been doing some searching about the comparisons between both of these engines, and recently found an old post from Sandman, or something of that sort, of which that user posted the following:

"• YES, HEADERS FROM THE 2.5 WORK ON THE 3.0L"

From what this post is logically saying, then the headers from a 3.0L 6G72 engine should work on the 2.5L 6G73. I've only heard 1 other user comment that the 2.5L and the 3.0L use the same headers, but I am posting this to confirm.

The sets I am interested in purchasing are the following:

The second one looks like it should directly fit to the stock location of the cat converter??

Does the second setup also look like it could bolt to a 5-bolt T4 exhaust housing, aka for a T3/T4 turbo??
5  Tech Forums / 6 Cylinder Tech / Re: Where do you get a turbo? on: December 05, 2006, 05:13:46 AM
if your looking for a mid-performance turbo, one that wont produce near any lag, but wont give you humongous potential once you start increasing boost, get either the T3/T4 hybrid turbo, or the T04E, both are relatively cheap, and produce around 7psi ~limited to internal wastegate. Yeah, these turbos will be around $200.00 on eBay, just make sure you get one with a LONG warranty. Nothing 30day, those usually break within the first year of use. The whole setup is gunna cost you a fortune, not to mention exileracing doesnt provide their custom turbo manifold and dump/downpipe on their catalog! If they did, Id be working on the project right now!! Now I'm sitting in Iowa, of all states, looking far and wide for a company or person(s) to build me a custom turbo manifold and dump pipe for the T3/T4 compressor/exhaust housings. Not to mention a charge pipe too... Plehh, not really worth it in my opinion, you could MAYBE get around 300HP on stock internals, not to mention with the stock tranny, that will go out in no time.

Save your money, do a swap for the 6G72/420A, or just make yourself a really fast N/A.
6  Tech Forums / 6 Cylinder Tech / Re: next performance mod... some advice please on: December 05, 2006, 05:02:52 AM
i'd go for a performance cam, forged pistons and connecting rods...

never hurts to do some internal work on an n/a, cuz later on you might
get the sudden urge to boost your 'venge... hehehehe.

plus that performance cam should give you anywhere from 10 - 20HP to
the crankshaft. good for your n/a to 200HP.
7  Market Place / Wanted to Buy / Re: Strut bar and Carbon fiber gauge stuff, v6 headers on: December 05, 2006, 04:57:58 AM
ive seen exileracing.com make custom headers for the V6 2.5L... you should try contacting them if you want a quality pair. They were prototype, so I dont know if you would be able to get your hands on any, but it doesnt hurt to try! I kinda got dissinterested in making my V6 n/a, just because whenever you've owned a turbocharged vehicle, you'd never turn back, just like moving from dialup to broadband internet, right? hehe.

idk, just a suggestion...
