Actually my engine is in pretty bad shape, 2 of the 4 cyl are undercompressed and it also smokes out of the tail pipe and burnes oil.

My mechanic recommended that i rebuild or swop. seeing that 420a engines are very rare im forced to rebuild.

I dont know if it adds more power or not but when my friend swapped his Toyota engine they drove like 5 or 6 meters and crack there goes the tranny

Im gonna do a 4 cyl engine rebuild on my automatic 95 veng. its got about 190,000 kms or about 118,000 mi.

will i get any trasmission problems from the added power and stress, or any other problems.

The reason im asking is because a friend changed his 92 toyota corolla's engine and then when they tested it after the swop the tranny went. He ended up throwing his car away.

Please dont tell me im gonna get the same prob with my veng  cuz i cant afford another 2 grand for the transmission!

duuude, do u still have the parts i wanna do a front end eclipse conversion. where about in canada do you live.

  oh sht, man i think i might have. but i checked my fuses they seem to be fine. do you know where exactly the starter fuse is?

ya i got it on, i ended up taking off the whole alternator off to reach the pivot lock, cuz we were working with a limited amounted tools. it was a bitch to put it back on but we did it. but yet the car wouldn't start for some reason, even when boosted it with another car. umm do you think i may have pulled something important out in that area?  but thanks for the help tho.

p.s. i accidentally pulled out the washer fluid plastic container. i dont know where it came off from. lol

im trying to put the alternator belt back on cuz i gotta new one. do you loosen the pivot nut from the front or back, i have tried both, the front seems to be welded or something. The back nut seems really tight and i have very little space to work. i wasnt sure if it was the right nut.

I am having trouble with the alternator belt. i cant seem to get it on. i have taken off the 3 bolts. am i missing something?

hey guys im kinda new with this so bear with me.
My v-belt or ac belt just kinda riped apart when my stupid bro was reviving it in park. better parked then on the road, eh. well any ways i need to change the belt but i cant find the damn tensioner or even know whats what.


i used to own a ford taurus and i found this diagram on google which helped me put the belt back on.


Is there one for the 420a if so i would really appreciate it! if there isnt could someone draw me out something similar, i think i could help alot of dumb asses like me. 

hey guys hows it goin, im interested in doin a eclipse font conversion on my 95 avenger, has any body done it b4? this guy on this web site http://www.teamasylumracing.com/Gallery_Chucks_conversion/index.htm  did it but didnt really leave a discription or any issues he might of had in doing the conversion. The reason im doing a eclipse conversion is because there isnt too much verity of bodykits and accories and such avaliable to the avenger but is also very costly so thats why im giving it to a high school to do. Knowing those dumb asses will give me a hard time please tell me some issues that i might have to encounter.
