hey guys so sorry for late replay but i finaly got it! lol i didnt change the rad support with an eclipse one because i didnt find a good one so i just hammered the avenger one back about an inch or two.

hey guys my dumb ass brother smashed my car in the front passenger side and need to replace the hood, rad support, bumper, lights and fender. Wanting to do an eclipse conversion for a while i thought might as well because i need the parts any ways.
So i went a head and got all the eclipse parts; Rad Support, Head lights, Hood, bumper and fenders but when i brought it to the shop the guy was like 1000 bucks to change the rad support! i was like wtf! is it really that hard to change the rad support??
im thinking of gettin a stock turbo from a wrecked eclipse spider and im just wondering what is the maximum hp a 4 cyl auto take. i wanna get a turbo but i dont wanna blow my trany.
sorry for the late late reply guys i didnt wanna keep u guys hangin. ne ways they found out the prob, the jackasses that installed my engine broke the top of the bolt off the exhaust manifold and didnt tighten another bolt on the intake manifold. the one on the exhaust manifold is stuck in the engine . it just doesnt start when its cold. that day i took the video was really cold. hmm so is it bad to drive like this?
yup checked everything, it seems fine. i guess only my mechanic tell me whats wrong with it. im so scard lol i hope these asses didnt mess up my engine when they were installing it. i also checked my timing belt, it seemed fine, it didnt seem loose or any thing. if they cant fix the car or have to rebuild the engine or something i dont think i can afford to keep the car and i just ordered a HID conversion kit and racing dash cover off ebay lol.
sorry for the late reply, i will try to get the CEL codes tomm. im pretty sure its gotta b a sensor because the timing belt was replaced b4 i installed the engine and it seemed ok. hey enemytoast what was the sensor that was unplugged?
i just put in an engine from an eclipse about 20,000 miles on it, drove around for a while and it worked fine. today i went to start it up and she wont start.
i recorded some video to show u how it looks when im starting it.
LOL i dont know, im sorry im a ricer, mainly because i dont wanna get beat by a civic or something cuz i know they r fast and i just cant afford to do preformence upgrades. also i live in canada, u think its hard to get veng parts in the US its really hard to find ne here.
but ya even stuff like flowmaster n stuff is way to loud.
hmm i see... their crap... thing is, i dont wanna loud muffler, i just wanna sound good when im reving high. I dunno if u heard a g35 rev but im in love with that sound. it doesnt give you that aggressive rumble just a light deep sound.
im considering gettin a loop muffler off ebay, what you guys think, i wanna get that stock G35 type of sound (low sound but not loud) i am afrade that if i get nething else my car might sound like a gay civic weed waker or something.
hey dave im going to move the car to my friends place to do it there. im gonna pick up some of the stuff this week.
i look at some pics of cars that are being preped, this car looks like it was black b4 but with out any clear. so im guessin i gotta sand off all the clear eh? and now i know why i need the masking tape lol.
I'll try to do this in steps for you but may back track at times.
Some supplies to get you going, brought to you by 3M, lol. You will need a good automotive paint store for this stuff.
1. Masking tape, and lots of it. I recommend 3M's 233 high performance. It's bright green, and you'll need at least 2 rolls of 3/4 inch and 2 rolls of 2 inch. Probably more as we go on.
2. One box of Scotch brite scuff pads, part #07777 or something like that. I will get the number for sure tomorrow.
3. One roll of 18 inch paint resistance prep paper.
4. A knife, one called an "Olfa Knife" with break-off blade tips.
5. A good nylon plastic squeegee, 2x4 inch.
6. Sandpaper, some 320 and 500 grit to start with. If you have rust you will need 180 and 220 grit as well, along with bondo and a hardener. A sanding block is always good.
We will start with that, let me know when you have most of this stuff. Don't get discouraged, takes time and $'s to get rolling. You'll see why it cost $3000 to do this right by the time your done.
