I was just wondering if anyone would be interested in a write-up for this. I havent done the horn yet, but I have the lights flashing  for locking/unlocking the doors. I will do the horn tomorrow and see what gives. it's nice tho to see my lights flash so i can locate my car easily in a crowded parking lot at night...or anywhere for that matter. so far, the headlights flash when i close it, but my parking lights flash when I open it. cant have it both ways as you will fry your circuit the way it's set up, so i think what I will do is, horn, headlights when closing, and just parking lights (front and rear) when opening.

anyone confused by this post.....re-read after sobering up for approximately 5 hrs.

I think it would be pretty good. You should probably mention this is for the Avengers/Sebrings with Stock alarms

You should do headlights when UNlocking, since that will help you find your car when you are drunk, or on crack.  You're standing right next to it most the time when you lock it so parking lights will do fine.

Just my opinion which is absolutely infallible.

Do you mean with a remote?


I had this mental image of you close the door and it flashes and honks the horn, or you unlock it with the key and same thing hehe.

God I hope you're joking lol...i guess if you have someone at the bar you didnt go there with it could work for that purpose.


ok, well it can go either way, you can flip flop for headlights or parking lights. my fog lights are wired to my parking lights, so those along with the lights in the rear (also parking lights) come on when I open, easy find for me ;).

The horn will let you know that it did lock w/o having to look back. Didnt have much time to do that today as i was helping my bro prep his escort for inspection, fixin it up an stuff. 2000 with 135k on it.

I did mess around with the horn a lil bit, but as soon as i connected it to the wire, the horn was blaring, so i gotta go unhook some wires and play with them for a bit.

actually JBI, Nykon is right. lol. think about the way you worded it: But i have the lights flashing for openin/closing the doors. Basically, that's opening and closing the doors, not locking/unlocking the LOCKS.  :D
