So I just get out of class (Corrections Training for those of you that may have forgot ) and I get a call from Emily and she's crying.  I ask what's wrong and she says she crashed her car.

Story goes:

Emily is driving down Highway 41 (I'm including markers for people that know the area of Green Bay, WI) in the right lane.  The white van ahead of here is swerving and sporadically adjusting speed, slowing, accelerating.  Emily decides she is going to pass him.  She begins passing him as she goes under the West Mason overpass.  The white van swerve towards her and keeps coming she lays on the horn and hits the brakes, the van still moving over hits his brakes so Emily has no where to go.  She pulls hard to the left and then over steers her back end kicks out and she hits the center median.  White van takes off.  The cars behind her stop and wait with her for the police.

Emily is OK aside from being a little shaken up.  But I can't leave my training area to go home to see her which is VERY irritating.  Just thought I'd give the low down of my day.

Stupid drivers!.. no one else witnessed? license plate of jack ass in van?

Yes two witnesses.  No license plate for the van.  Emily is pissed that she "was so stupid and didn't get the plate numbers"  her words

Seems to me that while mr dane cook was robbing the local bank, the driver of "the van" stopped ot have a few brewskies!

"WHERE'S THE VAN!" *machine gun rattles* "WHERE'S THE FU*%#NG VAN!" :D

 Well at least shes alright. Thinks could have ended worse. I hope whoever was in that van gets taken off the road. The cops should seach for the van through the DMV. They just look for all registered white vans in the local area, and just go find one with body damage maching that of the car she was driving. Theres gotta be some colored paint left on the can itself. but thats prolly too involved. I know the cops out here wouldnt even bother... :(

Yeah there's just too many white vans out there.

that sucks man, sorry to hear that. this place is filled with A** holes, if it happened in a local area there would have been a better chance of finding the perpetrator...well good luck and hopefully this pans out for you guys.

I'm sitting here expecting the worst as i start to read it and then when you opened with her calling you, it got better. I'm glad she's ok. When my 99 Venge got totalled, I sat there gripping the steering wheel with all this anger building inside me and it took a full minute before i allowed myself to open the door. I was ready to walk up and down the other driver until i saw that it was an old guy who was a friend of the family.


Didn't she end up getting the lancer awhile back? Does she have full coverage? and are the cops really going to do anything about it?

Lancer is five months old (well since we purchased it).  She DOES have full coverage which is pretty nice.  The police are pretty much washing their hands of it.

It sucks, but on the other hand there isn't too much they're going to be able to do.  I mean if they could they would her dad is the head of the police department.  So it's not like we're just getting the run around.
