Title: turbo avenger Post by: john on April 26, 2008, 01:09:40 AM hey a couple months ago there was a post on here with a pic of a turbo venge, and some kid trying to say it was his and it really wasnt or something like that. i think the avenger came from exile it was a v6 with a turbo i was wondering if anyone knew if there was any internal work done to that engine to hold up to the turbo. and was JUST wondering if a stock 2.5 could handle like 7 psi from a turbo if anyone ever put one on just wondering though so please dont shoot me down thanks.
Title: Re: turbo avenger Post by: Bad Venge on April 26, 2008, 01:54:55 AM Exiles avenger HAD internal work done but they were running a stage II t,he stock 2.5 will handle lower levels of boost ... since exiles gone disturbing motorsports is the only game around...

Usful link for you. We are planning on running about 12 PSI on the stock engine with a 2.5L. Title: Re: turbo avenger Post by: john on April 30, 2008, 12:38:24 AM are you working on a turbo car now if you are when will it be done?
Title: Re: turbo avenger Post by: Sroufe7 on April 30, 2008, 12:51:56 AM are you working on a turbo car now if you are when will it be done? We are working on the 5 speed setup first, then moving onto the turbo setup. We can turbo a customers car if they are ready. The turbo setup is the same as the 5 speed project as far as having to bring the car to us. With the differences between the years, currently we can not release a kit to the public to bolt on themselves. Title: Re: turbo avenger Post by: Sroufe7 on April 30, 2008, 03:47:19 AM will the stock 41te handle that much power with just a trans cooler All depends on how you drive, and the current condition it is in. More than likely you will need a performance transmission build in the future. Title: Re: turbo avenger Post by: Enemytoast on May 01, 2008, 04:04:23 AM The auto is highly unreliable with a stock motor. If they are using an a543 transmission (??) Then the internals will be much stronger and can even be swapped out for stronger ones, 700hp w/ turbo internals.

They break just like the auto's do. I'm not saying that the manual isn't a better option, but they aren't the greatest either. If you need a good transmission rebuild, let me know.
