Title: How to motor mounts
Post by: Wraith78 on April 21, 2008, 07:16:12 PM
I wanna change out my motor mounts with Prothane inserts.  The inner rubber looks as if its pressed in after being frozen and the mount being heated.  There's also a small flange around both sides to keep it in place.
Does anyone know how to get it out without destroying the mount?

Take it to a shop that has a press.  Any Engine shop will have it.  Most regular shops will as well.  Have them press the old ones out and the new ones in.

Cool.  I kinda figured that but was just checking to see if something was quicker and at home.  Thanks bro.  Check out myspace.com/concorde.  The pics of the work in progress are on there.

It is a pretty good chop.  I actually got it from here when the site was originally set up years ago.  There were a few more of the chopped venge and of Bill May's 6.7 second pro-outlaw 99 avenger.  That was a bad ass beast with a 400 big block.
