Title: Re: 01 2.7 Post by: Bad Venge on March 09, 2008, 01:55:15 PM why when the 3.0 is a direct bolt in swap ::)
Title: Re: 01 2.7 Post by: Daes on March 09, 2008, 07:26:59 PM 3.0 engines cost less by far. And the 2.7 has oil passage problems. I have an 04 Stratus with 84k sitting in my backyard with a blown motor. The 2.7's are JUNK!
Title: Re: 01 2.7 Post by: JusBringIt on March 13, 2008, 05:08:25 AM I'm sure the 2.7 could bolt up, however, it would be more of a waste of time especially with the 3.0 available. if there is a freebie, you could be the first to do the swap.
Title: Re: 01 2.7 Post by: Alain95i4 on March 13, 2008, 01:59:42 PM I'm sure the 2.7 could bolt up, however, good luck with that ;) the 2.7 doesn't even have a mitsubishi style bolt pattern for the transmission Alain Title: Re: 01 2.7 Post by: Boost Creep on March 14, 2008, 11:55:27 AM I'm sure the 2.7 could bolt up, however, good luck with that ;) the 2.7 doesn't even have a mitsubishi style bolt pattern for the transmission Alain since when does that matter? Title: Re: 01 2.7 Post by: Alain95i4 on March 14, 2008, 05:06:07 PM since when does that matter? yeah I know but after you find out that you need the A604 from a 2g srtatus and you find out you need to rewire the transmission connector and you find out you need the 5 speed swap trigger wheel and you finally found out that you don't have the right computer to drive a coil pack since you engine used a distributor etc etc etc so you give up and install underbody neons instead Alain Title: Re: 01 2.7 Post by: 97avengerguy on March 14, 2008, 05:23:06 PM 3.0 engines cost less by far.
