Here some pics of one of the things i did this weekend to my car. I put my neon kit on and painted my calipers. I forgot to get pics of my calipers but ill try to get some later.

So you know that those 'cobra eyes' are usually illegal or enough for a cop to pull you over right? i hope they are on a toggle switch for your 'Officer Stress Level' lol.

Actually one of my friends who is a cop said there not illegal unless they flash. But no they go into my parking lights. My neons are a toggle though cause cops still like to mess with people with neons.

Your state must be a little more lenient then. I asked the dispatcher for God's Special Police [GSP] and they said that it depends on the officer that pulls you over... kinda lame.

Cops around here are pretty lenient unless they need there quota. Than your screw theyll try to get u for everything they can.

"Son, I'm gonna have to write you a citation for littering on the Highway...."

lol No i did almost get pulled over yesterday but it wasnt for the neons.

High heat primer and paint.. mulitiple coats.

Thats what i used but i think our cold weather messed it up.

hmm. you used both high heat primer after thoroughly cleaning it and high heat paint right? [1200 degree is a sure bet]

If not, Dupli-color makes a true kit for caliper painting.

I used the kit. But i didnt let them cure for 2 hours like they said. I was in a rush.

bingo....that stuff HAS to sit for at least an hour and a half otherwise ive seen it chip off within a few hours.

Im gunna try to paint them sometime agian when its spose to warm up.

OMG thank YOU! even though you rushed it and didn't let it sit for the full time, THANK YOU for using the kit [this is the auto parts retailer coming out of me that hated seeing people complain about their idea not working and blaming me because I couldn't convince them to do it right the first time.]. Definitely do it again when you have more time to let it fully cure.

I started to paint them and about an hour later were having a blizzards outside so i had to throw my tires on and try to get home before it got to deep and i wouldnt make it. But i plan on getting another kit and redoing them.

good. Just be sure to get all or at least as much of the old stuff off that you can. The old stuff will eventually flake off under the new stuff and you'll end up doing it all over...again. ugh.

Im gunna try to get it all off than get some high heat primer than use my kit color.

At least you had a 100% legit reason for rushing it. lol

Ya. My buddy was like u wouldnt have gotten stuck. Hour later his lowered sebring was stuck and i had to pull him out.

Ligit??? come on its only a blizzard, just a little snow wont hurt ya!!! ;)

Lol ya its was just a little snow about 8" of it. But they never plow any of the country roads so it was probably a little more than 8". :P

lol. from my neighbor actually. he busted one one on a curb in his Eclipse. It's alright though, the eclipse is ok. It lived with no scratchs to anything else. He knew that i was looking for a set, so he offered me them for $75 since i'd have to find a 4th.

Wow i wish i could find deals like that around here.
