What is it built for - top speed runs or quarter mile? Who has the fastest venge on here and what does it run in the quarter? What does it take for these cars to make 500-600 HP? I assume a built bottom end, large turbo, and supporting mods.

Lolz.... NO way you're gonna get that much power outta this car unless you got some serious cash... I don't even think these engines can handle that much power, not too mention the trannies... :-\

for that kind of power, ur talking a completely different engine and drivetrain and hoping that it'll work, and it will more than likely not be streetable. u can ask sroufe7 or burn504, they have the fastest I believe, making somewhere over 220 whp with a 3.0 swap (supercharged).  but like i was saying, u need a different transmission welding fitting parts, gutting of the avenger....that kinda stuff.

My block will handle 800+ HP.  But it's the traction issue, and actually getting everything else to make that.  I will never see my car with 800HP.  But I am aiming for the 500 range, I'll see how likely it is once I get it on the dyno.  HRC has made there 420a eclipse (stock bottom end and drivetrain, lightly upgraded head) push 350HP, on 12PSI.

ever watch the little hot hatchs like the speed3 and gti at a stop light in the rain? they only have 263 and 200 hp you want 500 on the front wet or not tire spin is gonna happen.

that is why i went with the heavy 6g74 cast block so that i can have more weight over the front wheels... because i will be pushing 500hp soon ... j/k!  i just wanted to sound like knew what i was talking about.

Which is why I won't be running full boost all the time.  The 500 is track only.  I don't plan on running more than 200-250.  That and I've been driving for well over a decade, almost all of it with a manual.  I should be ok  ;)

I am having serious debates about selling it off and scrapping it...

I am thinking we need another v8 Avenger... or possibly another 4g63... or maybe even something that hasn't been done before...

My vote it keep it.  You can fit a 429 in there.

i really want to build a v8 avenger im still working on ideas but im kinda stuck on exhaust i was thinking about side exhaust like on a ford mustang i dont know if anyone has seen them or not but that it wont hang down below the pinch weld it will be behind the side skirts anyone else have ideas

I think Sroufe7 and Burn504 are pushing more then 220 whp for sure.. and BV is pushing even more.

Burn and I are both well over that 220whp mark you said.

BV isn't making more than 220whp without nitrous.  200whp if he's lucky without nitrous.

a 2.5 or 3.0 with forged pistons can take over 450whp.  That would be stock rods, stock crank and forged pistons.

Dyno runs mean nothing without a dyno sheet.

I can tell you i dynoed my car last week and it was 375whp and 400lbs tq

lol mine would work out to be roughly 90 hp and probably 30 lb-ft....my car is dying and well i just cant afford to fix it.
